Degree: Biology
Graduation Year: 2016

The University at Albany has a rigorous Biology Department. Although it is rigorous, it is well worth it in the long run. The professors expect 150 percent out of every student and it is his/hers responsibility to keep up on the work. Like most colleges, some professors are better than others and therefore it is important to be able to adapt. Due to the volume of students at this school there are endless opportunities to get involved with the students and community.

Degree: Social Work
Graduation Year: 2007

University of Albany offered a specialized program for those in the social work masters program. I was in the IAP program which offered me great opportunity in field experience, education and the opportunity to receive a stipend as an intern. made my college experience both enjoyable and affordable

Degree: Chemistry
Graduation Year: 2016

My first few years were at a larger school and I transferred over to this one. The setting was completely different and the professors really wanted to see you exceed. At my other school, the professors did not care if you showed up for class at all, and barely seemed to notice ones that were failing. However, at ASU, there is no chance of that. Attendance is a must and some professors even give you homework. You are expected to pay attention and be a part of class discussions.

Degree: Early Childhood Education
Graduation Year: 2017

I really enjoyed ASU! I learned a lot and faculty and staff really wanted me to be successful. I had wonderful professors. It was an AWESOME EXPERIENCE. Whenever I needed advice or help they were there. The course loads were not excessive, they took into consideration about my full time job.

Degree: Accounting
Graduation Year: 2017

My graduate program at Albany State University will allow me to continue my education without having to move to another city. Although I will not have the chance to earn my MBA at a different institution I know my institution is excellent.

Degree: Social Work
Graduation Year: 2016

The MSW program at SUNY Albany is among the top social work programs in the country. So far, the program has been nothing but wonderful. The internships incorporate the materials learned in the classroom, while the professors and your adviser work with you to prepare you for your future career.

Degree: Communications
Graduation Year: 2009

When I first got to Albany State the program was still in the works. Meaning the program was still new. Pros that I experienced was that the professors were available when needed. Cons there were no companies that came to the school to recruit students in the communications program.

Degree: Performing Arts

The pros of my graduate program at Albany State University is the living is affordable as well as education. The cons for my graduate programs is that to understand the major there is much study required.
