"The program costs a lot, but you receive a stellar education. The faculty are very knowledgeable and have vast experience working in the field. The library services are the best I have experienced, and I came from a top tier undergraduate institution."

"I had a wonderful, comprehensive learning experience while at Alliant International University. The professors are working professionals in the field of school psychology and therefore teach through not just text but experience as well. I was afforded additional opportunity through professional association memberships to attend conferences and work shops, along with other fruitful endeavors that have highlighted my resume. I would recommend this program to all of those who seek education in the field of school psychology."

"Pros: Faculty and staff care a lot about the students and support their project idea. Staff and faculty is usually available and flexible in accommodating students. They are respectful and welcome new ideas. They are willing to work with students. Cheap city to live in Cons: Small school Fresno area is not as nice area"

"There are many positive aspects to the PhD in Clinical Psychology program at the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University. The pros of attending this program are that you receive great support, mentorship, and guidance from faculty and staff, the student population is very diverse, the program is challenging, the LA campus is beautiful, and there is a good balance between clinical and research focus. On the other hand, the cons of CSPP is that the cost of attendance is pretty high, the school just became a for-profit university, and, as a result, many of the faculty have resigned. Overall, I would highly recommend the PhD in Clinical Psychology program at CSPP to any student pursuing a higher education."

"The biggest pros of this program is that everyone is very supportive (faculty and students) and that the program has a great reputation. The biggest con is the cost - it is extremely expensive and there are no stipends of financial aid."

"The pros of attending Alliant International University are the small class sizes and accessibility of the faculty members to students. There is a very diverse student population and a collaborative atmosphere. The cons would have to include the high cost of living and the lack of public transportation in the San Diego area."

"Alliant is a good school with high standards. The campus is small and it makes an interesting experience. There are a lot of activities that the school provides, multiple clubs/organizations, etc. The classes are small and great for student/teacher discussions. We have a lot of interesting classes with great teachers."

"Pros: Excellent staff and faculty; small class sizes; community feel; emphasis on understanding and awareness of cultural diversity; nearby food court; easy to form friendships; no designation of how many A's or B's a professor can assign to a student--what you get is what you actually earn; professors are exceptionally competent in their respective classes; significant portion of professors are actively involved in their own line of work (i.e. though they are professors, they are also active in their own psychology private practice/clinical work); an incredible Phd and PsyD program; previous professors included Carl Rogers, Abraham Maslow and Victor Frankl :) Cons: Lots of reading; slow internet on campus"

"The program is very flexible for students that work full time, because there are evening classes for those students who would like to go to school and work full time. Also, the diversity of the student population is great there are a lot of minority students and professors which creates a great campus climate. One of the cons of the graduate program is that there are not on hands course during the first years of the program, so that students could have a better idea of what type of work the students will be doing."

"I am working on my PsyD. in Forensic Clinical Psychology at Alliant, and I am really enjoying the field and for the most part the school. They have a good amount of social activities and a newly active student government association that is putting on great social and work events. Sometimes the work load can be overwhelming, especially over the required summer sessions, but the faculty and program director are open to changes based on student concerns. Overall I enjoy the program and compared to some other programs the price you pay for this degree slightly below the average for this area."

"The school is high quality although, it needs more attention from the business community. For it's other programs such as Business Admin and forensics."

"The pros: The professors are top-notch, My cohort is very compassionate, however, very competitive, and we push as well as support each other to complete our workload. The cons: I'm on permanent disability from being involved in a terrible car accident and money's very tight. Being a student at 52 years of age has its disadvantages, like not having parents to help support! which is why I'm applying for scholarships. Alliant international University is the best school for MFT amongst other things. Thank you"

"A big pro to my graduate program is that it really emphasizes cultural diversity and training, which is very important. The professors are also very encouraging and approachable. A con would be the cost of the program. Although I would highly recommend this program, many people cannot afford to pursue higher education due to the program cost and affordability of living."

"The program is great and has excellent professors and mentors. My main complaint is the disorganization of the program and requirements that must be completed. At times we are given different. conflicting information which can be frustrating."

"It is a very, very practical program for those who want to work as psychologists, respected all over in clinics of Los Angeles. Cons: they do not put as much emphases on publishing / conference proposals etc.. so you have to pursue that on your own and ask for help if need be."

"The program was good if you are interested in doing Forensic Clinical Work. I was in the transition period where the classes that I was suppose to take were not offered and had to piece through my degree. The experience was great with the faculty and learned a great deal."

"Alliant and its professors are dedicated to their students' success. Administrators and professors alike are kind, conscientious, respectful, and friendly with students. They join the student in advocating for success when problems arise and/or if students decide to take a path that hasn't been frequently traveled."

"The staff employed by Alliant International University truly demonstrates sincere dedication to their students. Small class sizes offer individualized attention which I truly believe is an asset to the success of a graduate student. My passion for the field of Psychology has intensified dramatically from being in the presence of professors and peers who have done nothing but support these interests and desires for my future. Though I've enjoyed every moment of my time with this school, I cannot wait until I have earned my Master's degree and can officially become a therapist to those in need and impart the knowledge that I have retained from this amazing program. The only negative comment I have regarding Alliant is the lack of financial resources offered regarding aid for tuition. I unfortunately needed to take out many unsubsidized loans in order to pay for each semester but I do realize aid for graduate programs is hard to come by so I was very grateful that I was offered the assistance that I did receive."
