One of the major pros of this particular graduate program includes the small size of the program. The student to faulty ratio is outstanding, thereby giving students ample opportunities to access individualized help of professors. Professors in the solid mechanics program are all very renown in their fields of expertise. More than anything, the willingness of professors to help individuals surpasses those of any other professors at other schools i've attended.

I really wish I could have received more financial aid from Brown, but I am more than confident that the advanced degree I am earning will more than pay for itself in a very short amount of time, so I can't complain to much. I think that my program at Brown is very unique and I would not want to be anywhere else. I am very pleased with the value of the education, as well as the quality of the teaching, professor interaction, and the material being covered.

For a master candidate like me, it is not such a good program. But for PhD program, it is not bad with nice staff and faculty.

The BME graduate program is spread out over campus and non-campus buildings making it difficult for collaboration and organization of students, but also allows for collaboration outside o Brown with the area hospitals. The program can be very disorganized at times in terms of requirements and path to graduation and qualifying, but has improved considerably over the last couple years. I have enjoyed my time at brown
