I tried to attend this school because they said there were allowances for active duty military and understood their schedules when it came to submitting assignments late.. This was a straight up lie from one of the counselors (SALESMAN). They do not counsel and will forget about you after you attend a class. If you decide to drop out they will be all over you. I would not recommend this school I started this school in Aug 16th 2015 and this school is so uncoordinated when it comes to your documents and your previous schools the advisor DID NOT tell me that my private school was not accepted from where I graduated from and I asked her serveral times because I kept getting messages from the Resigtors about missing my highschool diompla when I sent it to them over 20 times and every time I asked my so called advisor about it she would always say they move... Read More slow , a slow process , they are going to come around to it and the advisor use to call once a week and then I didn't hear from her going on about 2 months and I was at this school for 4 months and then a few days ago they kicked me out because of my missing documents which that I sent over 20 times , So if you go to a private school or homeschool BEWARE because I wasted 4 months of my life with this school and earned 13 credits which I'll probably will never receive... and the people that work for financial aid for them are rude and stuck up and plus all their degree programs are expensive so don't expect financial aid check to come in the mail it will be all used up for the programs they choose for you.

The degree plan is overall a pretty sad state of affairs, not only do I feel let down I truly have no ideal what accounting is. We really never did any accounting procedures throughout. I really enjoyed and had very few problems at Colorado Technical University. I have to admit that I work full time and in order to complete school I had to sacrifice much of my personal time. I plan on pursuing an advanced degree and probably will choose CTU although I would have been accepted at many other colleges throughout the nation. I graduated August of 2015 with a 3.91 GPA and am thankful to God for much of the experiences I had through the college.

After completing my Associates degree with another university earlier this year, I wanted to look at different universities to try and complete my Bachelor's degree as fast as possible while still learning all the necessities in the programming world. After reviewing CTU's fast track program and career pace courses, it looked like an obvious choice to apply. After several phone calls with admissions I discovered that the online courses required group projects that could not be described, except that... Read More a large portion of your grade still depended on other people in the group. For an online course, for working people, this automatically requires a larger portion of time to be dedicated to the program. After explaining my concern(time), with my admissions representative, I respectfully informed her that I was going to withdraw and move forward with another university. The following week a different admissions representative called me and had to point out that the other rep had only worked there for two weeks and she was more experienced(15 years). After explaining all the details to the "new" admissions rep she responded with false information about the university I planned on attending and repeatedly questioned there integrity to try and persuade me to go to CTU. Not knowing that I had graduated from the other university earlier this year, and had a working knowledge of how the university operated, I immediately began to question how CTU allows admissions reps to lie to future students about other universities, and repeatedly question there integrity to convince students to attend Colorado Tech. Even after finally convincing the rep that I was not going to CTU, and was supposedly labeled as "cancelled", emails and text messages were still sent. VERY BAD business ethics.

Let me begin with a statement. As with all things, you get out what you put in. So for all the individuals reviewing this school stating that they did not know about fees/ finances, or the classes were less than adequate, or even they couldn't get a decent job/ continue their education after this school; you're either extremely stupid or did not do enough research. For starters, all fees (which there is only one I can think of, Graduation fee) are plainly stated on the schools site. There is no hidden... Read More agenda or hidden fees from this school. In addition, if you do have any questions you can contact the finance department who will stay on the phone with you even when you're yelling from misinformation (happened to me a few times). As long as you stay on top of your finances and do not think other people are going to do that for you, you will be fine. For those stating that the classes are less than adequate or they learned nothing, there are two sides to every story. I am sure if you contacted their professors they would inform you that as students, they were less than average providing little to no substantial projects and posts. Again, you get out what you put in. As with ALL schools, there will be professors you think are garbage and ones you think are amazing. This is not a direct indication of the school but of the person teaching the course. Also, you can always change your professor if you think you are not learning anything or do not like their teaching styles. I have done this once during my time at CTU. Finally, getting a decent job or transferring credits. For the ones stating that you cannot obtain a job in your field, have you ever stopped to think that it is you and not your school. I am tired of people blaming others for their shortcomings. It is an epidemic in America now that we are no longer the land of the brave, instead we are the land of "you hurt my feelings". Man up and make a decision to change your life for the better and get a job based on what you learned in school. If you learned nothing, than thats your fault for wasting your time. Not the schools fault for providing you with the recipe for success. I worked my ass of to get in to the Software Engineering field, taking a low paying job in a great company just to get my foot in the door. I want to be very clear, JUST BECAUSE YOU HAVE A DEGREE DOES NOT MEAN THAT A COMPANY WILL HIRE YOU. If you suck as a person, guess what, you're not getting hired. If you complain (like many of the posts I see on here) than I would not hire you either. For the gentleman that said his degree is useless in Florida, I moved from Colorado Springs to Florida and guess what, I have been accepted in the Masters program of 5 Florida Universities (UF, Nova, Florida Institute of Technology, FIU, and FAU). Trust me when I say it is not the school, its your weak GPA that the Florida schools do not want. If you are genuinely serious about higher education, especially in the IT field where CTU is ranked in the top 5 for their online program, chose CTU.

Caution to all, especially military service members and Vets I decided to enroll in the school while on Active Duty as a way to get a jump on earning my degree for when I decided to leave military service. At first, I believed all the hype and positive reviews. However, after the first or second semester, I began to run into issues. The faculty were difficult to get a hold of or respond when you have questions about the class or enrollment. This was also when I discovered that I had a student loan... Read More taken out to cover tuition and fees until the school could obtain my GI Bill/Tuition Assistance money from the government. Additionally, I also discovered that the technical degree that I thought I was pursuing was actually a business degree with some technical focus. When I consulted the advisors, I was told it was basically the same thing. I guess because I was gullible enough to believe the other information, they thought I didn't know the difference between a business and technical degree. Later, I found out that the school was continuing receiving loan money and GI BIll money at the same time to cover the same costs. When I discovered this, I stopped both and left the school without finishing my degree. Now, I am still paying on a Stafford Loan that was run up to nearly $10k in about 2 to 3 semesters, plus lost over $10k in GI Bill money. Despite all of this, I did complete an AAS at Harford Community College in Information Systems Security and a BS in Cybersecurity at University of Maryland University College. Ironically, after all this time, the school keeps trying to convince me to come back and "finish" my degree. I usually respond with "not even if hell freezes over."

My enrollment advisor was fantastic. The teachers were friendly and communicated well. My student advisor lacked in every prospect. He never returned my calls. I called three times about issues with my computer, asking what steps I needed to take as to not fail classes. Instead of returning my call, he withdrew me. When I contacted the school, I was told I would have to re enroll, start back two months later and pay for the last class I was in twice. The school punished me bc the advisors could not... Read More do their job. During the re enrollment process, my new advisor stated she would call me when my paperwork was finished. After a month I had to call to find out what was going on, just to be told the 34.5 credits I had already earned would not be accounted. Therefore I would have to start all over. They really need to get their staff on the same page or advertise the fact that no one will contact or assist you ever. They are rude and inconsiderate of the fact I am a full time mother and employee. I just wanted to further my education to better my family, all this "school" did was put me in debt!

When I enrolled with CTU I had very high hopes! I did a little research and saw that compared to other colleges their tuition cost was lower even though it was higher than what I wanted. I spoke with an enrollment advisor that gave me a lot of information about the school and a virtual tour which I thought was great! A few months later I go back to the school to enroll and I come to find out that she no longer works there (the enrollment person) which should have been a red flag. I got a new enrollment... Read More person which was a little frustrating because he was attempting to go over the same information, but I understood. We picked out a program and the enrollment process started at the beginning of July. We were suppose to speak in the next few days but my schedule got very busy in a short amount of time. I communicated to him letting him know that another day would work and I do not remember him calling me back for follow up. After that I got bombarded with phone calls from several people and emails. Me and my fiance looked at my emails and in total I got 8-10 different people sending me emails. The entire process took about 1 month and I still was not done giving them paperwork they requested. There were at least 5 financial advisors who kept sending me emails with the same information of papers I needed to sign which I thought was excessive. It actually made me more frustrated because I felt pressured! They did not care if I had a busy schedule they kept calling and emailing. I called back and left a voicemail telling them I was busy and that I prefer to contacted by email or through chat. This was after they had already been sending me automated type emails. I did not mind getting a email from 1 or 2 people maybe 3 at the most, but 8-10 people? I decided that if I have to go through this type of stress before even starting classes I was not going to move forward. I got notifications about online orientation which had dates that seemed like it lasted for a month. They had a welcome to orientation and it asked students to go to facebook or twitter and post " I am starting classes with CTU" or something like that. They definitely want you to recommend them without even starting class. I thought that was crazy because they did not deserve any recommendations because of the service I was receiving. You have to talk to maybe 5-6 different financial aid advisor where there should be only 1 person to talk to. It makes the communication easier so that you do not have to reexplain things to different people every time you call. I emailed one the financial advisors and she told me that does not speak with the student population but I could ask for her if I wanted? What sense does that make? Why are you sending emails and you cannot assist me and then turnaround and say you can? Their organization was terrible to say the least. When I ask to not be enrolled I got questioned from the enrollment guy "J.K." who felt the need to question me about why I did not want to continue. I do not mind him asking me questions but his demeanor was like " Well you told me you could! why are you going back on what you said???? The quality of education is important" I told him I did not have to explain myself to him. This guy had no clue that it was that type of service that made me want to leave. I told him if he wanted to help pay for school for me I would welcome it. He had no right questioning my integrity like he was contributing to my education. This school has a lot of issues with their enrollment process it really can make you upset and take away the excitement of going back to school! Keep researching different schools it will save you some stress.

I was very satisfied with my experience at CTU Online. The professors were very friendly and experienced. As with all university level work, you will get out of it what you put into it. There was a large separation between the best and worst students. Peer interaction with "the best" was awesome. The professors were available for any questions and very responsive, even giving out cell numbers at times. I have taken brick and mortar classes at other institutions and would put CTU above those classes.... Read More As far as tests go, there were few. I felt, however, that the experiential presentation of courses provided a much better learning experience than any test could. We were crafting emails to respond to business situations, creating powerpoint presentations, and interacting via peer discussion boards. Keeping it real, I had a couple bozo professors along the way, but you will have that experience at any university. Overall, my skills were put to use immediately and I felt that they were immediately relevant in the "real world". I would recommend CTU to anybody!

I thoroughly enjoyed the curriculum for the MBA-HCM program at CTU online, however, the part that pissed me off was that I am to pay a $200 "Graduation Fee!" After spending almost $30,000 on a fucking MBA, students are expected to pay another 200 regardless if you are attending the actual ground ceremony or not. The part that disgusts me is that I, as a student, as NEVER, EVER informed of this damned fee. This school needs to inform their students of any applicable fees possible. Just when a student... Read More graduates with a 4.0 and moves on with their life, they find out it isn't over. I contacted Career Services about this fee and they stated that it covers expenses for the ceremony, regalia, cords, dimplomas, and two official transcripts. I graduated from college for my undergrad, no where did we have to pay a stupid fucking "graduation fee..." Very disgusted!
