"I like the academic program at Pepperdine University. The faculty will help you every step of the way with small classroom environment. There is a sense of real world environment because of the knowledge of real experience with the faculty. I have learned how to not only learn from the books but practical experience through role playing in the classroom. The location is also amazing because it is near the Pacific Ocean!"

"Although i'm just beginning the program I think the major pro is that fact that they offer a lot of support to incoming grad students. I have never been put off when I ask a question. The con is simply that the grad programs are so expensive."

"I truly enjoy my graduate program. It is challenging yet enlightening. I am grateful for the faculty who are open to talking after school when i need assistance. My classmates are easy to work with, we have been able to accomplish several projects on schedule and excelled at teamwork. The advisors are responsive and willing to assist when I inquire about an issue."

"This is for the GSEP program, MA in psychology. The program I have experienced so far is very informative and of high quality. The workload is reasonable from most professors. There is some unnecessary repetition of content in the required classes, especially research. This is unfortunate due to the high cost of each class."

"The atmosphere and professors at this campus are outstanding. They care about your education and want you to succeed. The only negative I would say is that it is a lot less social than undergraduate. At this campus you attend class and leave, so it is a bit harder to engage with others."

"Career support is stellar. They spend tons of time with their students making sure they get a practicum site and job opportunities. On the other hand, some of the adjunct professors are really poor quality"

"The doctorate program in clinical psychology is challenging and comprehensive all at the same time. Many of the faculty are able to provide real-world applications of their experiences as a Psychologist. The majority of faculty have been supportive and patient. It is expensive to live and work in Los Angeles. I find myself driving throughout the city in order to work at different sites. Some of the technology in the classrooms are in need of updates but I have never had a problem."

"The pros of my graduate program are the professors. They are outstanding experts in their fields of study with years of experience and accomplishments. The notoriety of the University and their program is an added benefit when looking for potential careers. The cons of the university is the travel time around the campus. Due to the location on the side of a mountain, most of the traveling is done by foot which requires hiking up many hills and mountainsides. While driving is possible, it isn't the easiest method of travel to class or to other parts of the university."

"Overall I have been extremely pleased as a graduate student at Pepperdine University. The curriculum for my program is thorough, and extensive enough so that it ensures each graduate is well-versed in their field. The Pepperdine community/network is focused on fostering all students as best they can, and that atmosphere is easily identifiable on the campus. Also, the quality of academia at Pepperdine is well-known. Great things can be said about the faculty and staff as well, they are easily accessible and always willing to help in any facet. I am glad I have been given the opportunity to complete my graduate studies in Clinical Psychology & Marriage/Family Therapy at Pepperdine."

"The first year of classes seems to be weighted more heavily than the second year classes (time & effort required). It is very reasonable to be employed full-time and attend the evening/weekend classes as well - your classmates will help each other get through the program! Some student choose to take 1 class at a time and finish in 3-4 years which may work better for your schedule. Overall, I am glad that I am earning my MBA. Good luck!"

"The Pepperdine MBA is a rigorous and high-quality program. The faculty are engaged with students and very accessible by e-mail and office hours. My faculty went out of their way to ensure that we understood the material. The grading is very competitive. The support offered by the student advisors, alums, and fellow students is very welcome."

"So far, I have enjoyed my experience at Pepperdine because I believe they have a strong Career Services team at the Graduate School of Education and Psychology that do an amazing job to help student determine their future career plans based on one's interest. They have shaped my outlook on the program, but I feel as if there are some aspects of the program that could use some work to meet the needs of the students. Especially for those attempting to pursue careers outside of the normal route students take."
