"This school has given me enough of a challenge while giving me the opportunity to flourish and learn. It has allowed me to chase my dream of becoming a physician's assistant, and I had a blast while succeeding. I strongly recommend this school for anyone who loves the small college feel,"

"I just completed the two year clinical psychology program. While the course load was difficult when combined with a near full time job and the optional thesis it was well worth it. Even though I have graduated I still meet with my advisor who has become an invaluable supporter as I transition to my next degree. The faculty in the Clinical Psychology program are always willing to answer questions and provide guidance as their students take the next steps in their career or education. Overall a great program and a great option if you are thinking of pursueing your doctorate but don't feel ready yet."

"Rivier University supports every student's dreams and helps educate everyone towards their future goals. They help find paid internships for most of their students which is great for anyone that can't work full time due to school. The workload can sometimes be overwhelming. Depending on the area of study, the professors sometimes go overboard with their assignments. On the positive side, this prepares you to be more organized and used to stressful environments that might ease your transition in a work place."

"I am going into my second year of my M.S. Clinical Psychology program and so far have no real complaints. The work load is heavy, but not more than what would be expected at a level this high in my education. The Professors are excellent teachers, as well as compassionate & understanding to the needs of all their students. I feel I have learned more in depth knowledge about psychology in the past year than I did in my four years as an undergrad. The only Con I would say is, again, that the work load is heavy, but with school being more of a passion, than a necessity, I find it all to be entirely worth it."

"The graduate program is a lot less expensive than the undergraduate program at Rivier University. This is definitely a pro! I have taken 6 courses so far in my graduate program, and I have found them very useful in preparing me for my eventual career as a special educator. Several classes require hands-on experience in a school setting, and there is a 16-week internship at the end of the program. The administration is very understanding of students who are currently employed as teachers, and hours on your actual job can double as field experience/internship hours (as long as your job meets the requirements of the field experience/internship). This is a HUGE help. Additionally, all of my professors have been kind and helpful, and I have learned a lot from my classes. The only con about Rivier's graduate programs is that the university does not offer any financial aid (in the form of scholarships or grants) to graduate students."

"The school is excellent for those who enjoy a small school population and a calm, comfortable environment. The only con I have noticed about the program is that financial aid cannot be disbursed until you are officially accepted into the program (you can take up to 12 credits without being accepted). Other than that, everything is great. I love the campus, the people, and the teachers. The library is a great resource and the school technology usually works very well."

"I feel as though my graduate program is a very good program. I am currently enrolled in the graduate studied for Learning Disabilities. All of my educators are truly passionate about their careers and really make you feel their passion through their teaching. The staff does a great job of making sure to provide feedback that is important and in a timely manor. My advisor is hard working an is always on top of what I need next in my pathway for success. I have learned so much at Rivier and am happy to continue my studies there. I truly feel that this place is a great place for one you receive their master in Learning Disabilities."

"The Rivier University Graduate programs for Counseling and School Counseling offer the resources, academic challenge, and curricular expectations of a much larger school, with the advantages of a smaller more accessible school. You don't get lost in an auditorium full of students, and you can meet with anyone up to the department head whenever you need to for one on one guidance, but Rivier's name has clout in the community, the education you receive is the result of accomplished professionals who are attentive to industry needs. You get a quality education experience and solid preparation for a career, or even a calling."
