"I loved attending Southern University at New Orleans. It is a state funded HBCU, and there are alot of campus activites and the professors are very helpful. I majored in Social Work, which this school prepared me greatly for my field. The pay grade for social works is between 35,000 to 60,000; unless you open your on practice. The field is so broad that you have the opportunity to work in various areas."

"If you are an education major, please seek knowledgeable advice about Praxis II, then seek outside advisory to reference what you have been told. Please, make sure you have completed all of the test required early enough to ensure you are graduating as a certified teacher."

My instructors were very helpful preparing me for a career in the biology field as supported me educationally throughout my entire duration of my education there. The pushed me when I would get off track. I built a family there."

"The graduate level professors are very hands on with the student and available for questions and concerns. They make you feel like family and are very approachable especially our Dean. The only issue for some is that they only offer classes at night but for me, that works well with my work schedule and gives me the time I need to make it to class on time."
