I feel that the only cons about the program, is that I would like to live in the city that the campus is located. It is an expensive city, but with planning and budgeting I feel that I would have better social interactions with peers in my courses.

Online learning is convenient for so many reasons, mostly because it allows you to do when you can during the week and weekend. The cons to the graduate program for online students at AAU are the lack of instructional material that is thorough; the fact we learn from finding tutorials to go with the subject matter we are studying especially in the technical classes. Overall I would recommend AAU to anyone who wanted a solid, good education.

You can find what you ask in my college statement: MFA Illustration Program Statement of Intent at Academy of Art University Since I graduated from art college, I’ve always wanted to study MFA in illustration field. I love anything has to do with graphic design, drawings using digital tablet or vectors and some pattern techniques and always Google to learn more and taught myself. I love to create new designs and feel happy by making people enjoy looking at my work, The purpose beyond studying MFA in illustration is to develop my talent in graphic design with illustration & make it more professional to use it in good deeds such as children stories and books that have a big role in raising them up. I Also want to create my own style that I’m waiting to explore with you. I like illustration designs and patterns for textiles using bright colors; I can work cooperatively in a group; as well, as I’m a trustworthy person & always treat others with respect. One of my dreams is to design & publish my own book about special illustration drawings, techniques and styles, and I am convinced that my study experience & certificate at the Academy of Arts University will make it easier to achieve. I wish my dreams would come true with your support.

I am an online student with AAU, subsequently the pros would be: 1. access to online resources and instructors that may not have been available to me otherwise. 2.the online classes gives one the ability to better customize her learning experience and outcomes. cons would be: 1. lack of personal networking with neither professors/instructors nor other professionals affiliated with the the Academy

I like all of the technical instruction and the intensity of the program and teachers. I think there needs to be more focus on how to market yourself as an artist and what it takes to get a job in the "real world".

Degree: Film Production
Graduation Year: 2015

The MFA Film program at AAU is fantastic. There are amazing networking opportunities and classes that actually help hone your skills. The advisors are very involved and prompt with their responses. It takes a bit of effort to correspond with the department director and I have never seen him in person, which is strange. Financial Aid is a bit lacking and San Francisco is absurdly expensive to live in, but the school is worth it.

I feel that the cons of enrollment within the Academy of Art University's Graduate Program would be that living directly within the city and it not being a gates in university we are subject to some of the dangers of the cities environment. The pros within the graduate degree's program are endless. As a student you definitely obtain the education you deserve and work hard for. I have learned more than I ever thought I would. I love the transportation that the school offers for us as faculty and students to get from location to location. Another pro is the availability of resources that we can obtain within the school No matter what your major is there are a lot of extracurricular programs and opportunities to advance your skill set and build towards your career.

This is a great university with high quality Equipment and education but as an open campus spread in the whole city social life a little of a struggle. No Financial aid is provided
