Student & Graduate Reviews

I will be graduating with my Masters in February. Ace has provided a rigorous and challenging program. The classes are five weeks long and require one discussion post, two responses, 4-5 readings, a quiz and a long paper per week. The predictable format made it much easier to anticipate time needed to work around teaching full-time and having a young child. It is a challenging program but possible while maintaining work and family balance. Also, the price is unbeatable. I will be starting the dual masters program at ACE as soon as I graduate from the first one in the Spring.

The American College of Education was the best option for me at the time because it allowed me to continue to work and take care of my family as needed, but allowed me to continue my education. The online classes were spread out and which made the work easier to manage.

I have taken two classes with American College of Education thus far and enjoyed them both. The best point of this online graduate program is that it is convenient, inexpensive, and designed with educators in mind. It is tailored towards educators who are already in the field and are seeking professional development and education to further their educational effectiveness and career goals. So far the curriculum has not been unusually rigorous and there are some assignments which were not very applicable to me. But overall I have read some very interesting articles and gained new insight into my field (teaching English as a Foreign/Second Language). The courses are especially applicable to people teaching or planning to teach in the United States so many assignments have to be altered or very creatively approached to be applicable to someone teaching abroad, such as myself. However, the teachers are usually accommodating, and most classes have at least a few students who are teaching outside of the US.

I am currently enrolled in American College of Education 's Curriculum and Instruction Program. Thus far, the program has provided me with an avenue to reflect on my current teaching practices and provided research based practices to help improve my teaching approach as well. The professors and class content have also increased my awareness of the ever changing teaching environment and how to continue to help the needs of my students. The program has helped me implement several teaching strategies that have help improve my students both academic and behavior success. I would recommend anyone to enroll at American College of Education.

I chose The American College of Education because they offered courses that are perfect for my interests: Adult Education and Cognitive Science. The online programs are rigorous but extremely interesting and informative. Each course offers a new aspect of teaching and learning theories, as well as insight into the brain; how it is structured, how it functions and how knowledge is gained and retained in the brain. The research I carry out for my assignments provides me with a wealth of knowledge.

I am currently pursuing my Ed.D. in Leadership with a concentration in Higher Education. American College of Education is an affordable, quality education institution providing prospective students the opportunity to pursue their graduate education without amassing student loan debt. The courses are engaging, interesting, and of rigor. The instructors are caring and encouraging. They push you to do better. Anyone wanting to pursue their passion for education, this is the place to do it. I highly recommend it. I only wish I would have known about it sooner and pursued my M.Ed. degree here as well. If I had to describe ACE in three words, I would say: Affordable, Rigorous, Convenient.

I took all my classes through their online portal which was easy and fit in with my lifestyle. I was pregnant and needed something that I could do on my time. They were also very helpful in allowing me to double up my courses in my final semester which happened to be when I was due. The classes were also appropriately challenging and engaging.

I have only started my graduate program this week, so I can't fairly answer all of these questions. I do appreciate the flexibility that this college offers and I am happy to be able to complete my master's degree while continuing to work.
