This school was much more affordable, but I wish they had more graduate programs and I wish they had more classes available online.

Degree: Higher Education
Graduation Year: 2015

I've wanted to pursue a Master's in Higher Education for a while now, but I was hesitant for many reasons (funding & online program). I had the opportunity to speak with a professor in the program, and he wiped away my every worry. In fact, I became even more excited to begin. The professors have so much passion for the program and the material that it's infectious! I'm confident that this program will help me become the best service leader I can be.

The Homeland Security Program is fairly new so there are still a few bugs in the system. A few professors are hard to get a hold of and when you do even though they say they will address the problem, it may take weeks and multiple emails to actually solve anything. The students are great and working with everyone is simple. I love my school and I would not choose to go anywhere else. GO RAMS!

Angelo State University is connected with the Texas Tech University system (a good university in its own right). I feel the education I received at A.S.U. is very good and up to the standards of a Tier 1 university. The professors utilize instruction that keeps you motivated and engaged. Their procedures have given me ideas on how I would like to teach. As a student, I feel I always have people who will help me - from technical advisers to professors allowing me to text them. I truly felt they were doing everything they could to help me succeed. I come from the business world and when I entered A.S.U., it had been 25 years since I attended school, so it meant the world to me when they were there for me every step of the way. When I graduated U.T. Austin, I felt that I had graduated from a world class school. In much the same way I feel like A.S.U. has prepared me to succeed in the world of teaching. I applaud their program and the professors who are so attentive.

Degree: Nursing
Graduation Year: 2016

I am an online student so there were many questions on "student living" I was unable to answer. I am not far into my program yet but up to this point have had a fantastic experience with the faculty and am glad I chose this school to continue with my education. Due to ASU being a somewhat smaller of a university compared to many others I applied to I believe is the most beneficial to my learning experience. Contacting the instructors has been painless.

Pro: You are challenged to learn. Con: Not enough student interaction online.

The Coaching, Sport, Recreation, and Fitness Administration Program at Angelo State University helps the graduates to prepare for any job under the umbrella of the world of sports and coaching. The classes offered give the students an idea of what they will be doing on a daily basis in a coaching job, in a recreation job, or in any fitness job. The professors, or as they tell their students, our colleagues, are very helpful in determining what exactly a student wants to do with this program. The only downside about the program is that it DOES offer everything having to do with a variety of sports and coaching opportunities.

I think that the ASU Education Master's program is immpeciable and would reccommend it to anyone looking into a Master's program.
