I felt Ashford's MBA program was challenging and allowed me to learn valuable business tools. Some of the benefits were the online class room allowed me to work while going to school. I was able to attend class around my busy schedule. Additionally The course professors were very understanding of certain circumstances that did not allow me to turn in an assignment on time. One draw back would be that the lack of community attending online. I was hard to feel part of the Ashford community but the school did a good job of trying to make me feel inclusive none the less.

Degree: Human Resources
Graduation Year: 2016

Pros of this program are the careers and job positions that will be available to me once graduating and while a student. The courses all for the student to learn how to develop an organization, how to develop strategic plans to operate their organization, how to recruit quality employees and how to appraise employees, business plans and or tactics implemented within the work place in order to assure a successful, safe and productive work environment. The Cons of this program is that it crams a lot of reading and work into six weeks for each course, the assignments are extremely time-consuming and you have to withhold a 3.0 G.P.A for the Satisfactory Academic Progress evaluation. If not, then you are placed on academic probation and face possible dismissal from the university.

The professors are very helpful and get back to students in a timely manner. They want to see you succeed. The workload can be a bit demanding for a person that works and has a family.

Degree: Instructional Technology
Graduation Year: 2015

I am an online student so sometimes socializing with other students in a class can be difficult. Sometimes getting answers to your questions from academic advisors can take a lot longer than it should or you won't receive an answer at which is unacceptable. I have enjoyed my time with Ashford University.

Degree: Organizational Leadership
Graduation Year: 2015

The organizational management MA program focuses on what a leader must accomplish in order for him or her to be successful. I'm currently in the MA program specializing in leadership. The overall cores are designed to take an individual's skill and make it better.

Very easy to take courses online, a good education, but a lot of question about the ultimate value of the degree itself.

Degree: Business
Graduation Year: 2015

Ashford University's MBA program is hit or miss. the teachers who are really engaged and interested in your learning are amazing. However, I would say that out of 8 classes, only 3 have met that definition. Most of the teachers are detached, and it is very difficult to get a response to questions unless they are in the majority of the excellent professors. Now that I have researched it further, I have found that there are less expensive online programs, and I don't think those programs would be any less quality than what I am receiving at Ashford University.

Degree: Health Sciences
Graduation Year: 2014

The cons are they no longer offer this degree at Ashford, the pros are I can transfer a lot of college credits to another school to further my education.
