Degree: Public Administration
Graduation Year: 2014

As a single mom with two jobs and the first graduate in the family Ashford University made it possible for me to achieve a goal that was considered a huge barrier for my family. I am proof it can be done and I am proud to say it!

Instructors are great, but Financial Aid Advisors are questionable

Degree: Organizational Leadership

Online programs are difficult because the student is teaching themselves the materials and if they fall behind it can be difficult to catch back up. I have been attending Ashford Univeristy for over five years and really enjoy the freedom of online schooling even though it can be very difficult at times. The course load is challenging and keeps me very busy when I am not working my full time job.

Degree: Higher Education
Graduation Year: 2013

I had a wonderful experience at Ashford online, and learned that communicating about coursework and with classmates was very rewarding and insightful. A good student at Ashford is self-determined and understands you get out of anything requiring a serious commitment, exactly what you put into it. The only con I can assess is the retention rate of Ashford students. As a student of higher education for the past 2 years, I wonder why they don't address this problem with more creative ideas.

With the pros and the cons of my graduation, I have really enjoyed my online classes, the staff and how much this helped with my job andtime at home taking classes online.

The pros of this graduate program is that it is very accessible and user friendly. The cons are that the academic advisors aren't very knowledgeable when approached with a question.

Degree: Early Childhood Education
Graduation Year: 2015

The pros of the Early Childhood program that I'm in are I'm moving forward in the career change that I've made.Kathrine Holman has been with me and encouraged me every step of the way. She had given me ideas, and phone numbers of people I could contact to take care of my student loans. She sends me e-mails to make sure I'm ok; Her encouraging words have helped me to know that I have the power to finish the program with a BA. The cons are few. The only issue was getting to learn how the online class works; for example where is the Ashford library is, or where to find financial aid information was. After the first week I knew how every thing worked and where to find specific information.
