Degree: Early Childhood Education
Graduation Year: 2015

The pros of the Early Childhood program that I'm in are I'm moving forward in the career change that I've made.Kathrine Holman has been with me and encouraged me every step of the way. She had given me ideas, and phone numbers of people I could contact to take care of my student loans. She sends me e-mails to make sure I'm ok; Her encouraging words have helped me to know that I have the power to finish the program with a BA. The cons are few. The only issue was getting to learn how the online class works; for example where is the Ashford library is, or where to find financial aid information was. After the first week I knew how every thing worked and where to find specific information.

I am exciting about returning to school after more than 20 years. The pros of my graduate program is it has opened a new view and perspective in my current line of work. I believe the more I am versed on how public administrative offices function the better I will be at my job and all future endeavors. I cannot think of anything that would make or cause me to believe there is a con to this graduate program. I believe the program is only as good as what you put into it. I requires a lot of self discipline to manage work, family and school; but nothing is impossible. It takes hard work and perseverance.

Ashford University is a great online school that truly cares about their students. The entire staff are extremely professional and have tons of educational knowledge. They work well with each personal student and treat them with great respect. It is difficult to find an online school with this type of professionalism, but Ashford excels at this. Great school!

The only cons in this graduate program is that since it is online you really cant react face to face or in live time with your classmates and professors as far as the pros is that the program allows your to do your daily living routines as well as go to school.

Pros- online was flexible and fit in with my busy schedule. The Professors were flexible too if an emergency prevented me from submitting my homework on time. Cons - Sometimes I felt like my Professors didn't really read my papers and just gave me a good grade. Then sometimes they graded really hard and nit-picked everything. I prefer the latter because it challenges me to do better. So, I would say that there isn't consistency in their grading.

The overall program offered a high quality of educational material with supplemental exposure provided by many of the instructors. It was rigorous, yet challenging. I found that most instructors were supportive and responded to questions in a timely manner. The Financial Aid division responded well and was very helpful. I was not particularly impressed with the career counseling division at the time.

I love this program because of the flexibility it grants us. This program is greatly structured and easy to follow and is supported by a great staff. They are professional and understanding. I have nothing to complain about.
