I love the staff's willingness to help their students. I enjoy the small classroom sizes and the excellent technologies available. The only negative part of the program is the cost.

I have learned a lot of valuable information from my program. It is in the evening and twice a week, which allows me to student teach and spend time with my family. The biggest con to the program is the price. As well as the work load. There is a lot of work with this program, however that may just be the norm for this credential.

APU offers a great graduate program. The professors are flexible and understanding about going to school and working full-time. They are also very accessible, via email or cell phone. The campus is beautiful and filled with diversity. Classroom sizes are smaller, which allows for more student-teacher interactions and discussion. I find coming to APU one of the best educational decisions I have made thus far.

I am new student, begun my masters program in Jan of 2014. So far I have had a great experience at Azusa Pacific. The staff are friendly and supportive in my transition as a student considering I work full time and I am a single mother of 2. I feel confident that I will succeed in this school and get the best education possible to become a nurse practitioner. At the time, I don't have any cons.

The pros of my graduate program were the faculty support and expertise as well as the up-to-date courses available. With the laws in California education changing so rapidly, it was very helpful to always have knowledgeable mentors available to ensure all requirements were met. The con of this program was that the newly added satellite campus I attended did not have all of the courses available and I had to take a couple of online classes.

I will be starting my second semester soon, but believe the classes I have taken online thus far have been very informative. The online experience has been a good one, and I have been able to build a camaraderie with other students. The professor have been very accessible as well. I do wish that the online program was more compatible for those who use Apple products. I have to convert a lot of my documents which interferes with the formatting and narration for audio presentations.

Great for the location, but limited class flexibility

Degree: Social Work

Azusa Pacific University's Graduate Social Work Program is extremely fulfilling, challenging, and expansive. The faculty works to customize your educational experience and meet your individual needs and goals. Unfortunately, the cost of living is moderate to high, but you are not too far from the ocean and there is always something to do (when you aren't studying)!
