Baylor was a wonderful expierence for graduate school. It was a good combination of education, fun and spiritual life. Classes are wonderful because the teachers are engaged and the class sizes are small. At most schools it is easy to be disengaged when you are in graduate school but at Baylor they draw you in to campus life.

Degree: Nurse Practitioner (Family)
Graduation Year: 2013

I chose Baylor University not because of it's rigorous curriculum or their dedication to prepare students to provide quality care to patients but because of its dedication to global health. At Baylor I was able to provide education on health and hygiene in a small village in Ethiopia. We then traveled to Sierra Leone where they had the highest maternal mortality in the world. Our care emphasized use of midwives and not village "witch doctors", routine prenatal care and HIV testing. My final year I worked in a small, impoverished village in eastern India. I worked closely with a community whose members had leprosy or had a family member with the disease. Though leprosy (or Hansens Disease) is curable, the stigma is still present. I will always be thankful for my time at Baylor University.

Degree: Political Science
Graduation Year: 2016

The Political Science program at Baylor University has a tremendous faculty. I encourage prospective students to figure out early on which field of Political Science they would like to focus on: theory, comparative, international relations, or American. Every student at the university is required to take a intro level Political Science class on the U.S. constitution. Overall, Baylor has incredibly strong team of faculty for each subfield, with comparative probably being the weakest due to fewer members. The real strength of Baylor's Political Science program comes from its theory department, which will assist any student in developing their researching and critical analysis abilities. I would also encourage students to participate in either Model United Nations or Mock Trial to help prepare them for a professional level of competency.

Degree: Education
Graduation Year: 2017

I believe that Baylor University is a wonderful school. The campus atmosphere is one that always feels welcoming and warm, which is occasionally hard to find on a college campus. The professors here are some of the best I have ever seen, as they are knowledgable in their fields and they genuinely want to build a relationship with you. Overall, I loved my time at Baylor University and I would no doubt recommend it to anyone who is looking to further their education while pursuing the Christian faith.

Degree: Social Work
Graduation Year: 2017

The Graduate School of Social Work is an incredibly field-oriented program with lots of hands on work. The professors are incredibly helpful and knowledgable on their skill sets within the field of social work. They are readily available and very involved with graduate students' well-being in the program. The work assigned is all very useful and practical for the field of work we are going into. The international social work side of the program is not yet as developed as is desired, however it is moving towards having a more international emphasis.
