Having the campus in Augusta was great. Taking online courses with the ability to see people in an actual office was so helpful. The faculty and staff were more than helpful.

Brenau University is a wonderful place to further one's career at the graduate level of study. Their M.S. in Applied Gerontology was one of the first in the nation, which was begun by Dr. Bonnie Kin, who is an expert in this field and who began this program ahead of its time. In addition to always being available via email or phone (even though the program is solely online), the instructors are knowledgeable and caring. The camaraderie developed between classmates and instructors is like none other that I have experienced in a classroom setting. Individuals wary of online learning should enroll in this program without hesitancy knowing that they will receive all of the support needed to make it through the program successfully. In addition, I would urge all program enrollees to attend the annual conference and any other on-campus opportunities because it connects current students and alumni with faculty and guest speakers.

I thought Brenau University was a great school. I was very appreciative that I was able to work full time and obtain my Master's in 3 years with their fast track program.

Brenau is a university that will challenge you to bring out the best in you. The professors were tough, but fair, and they had a way of making the learning process interesting and not boring.

Degree: Business
Graduation Year: 2016

Pros: the flexibility, i.e. the ability to complete the degree fully online; the affordability; the rigor of the program Cons: At times, the courses rely to heavily on supplemental materials such as videos and opinion, rather than facts, which takes away from the actual educational experience, in my opinion

I am currently enrolled at Brenau Univeristy. I have reached the halfway point in my program and I am very excited. I have to admit that I was a little nervous about going back to school while working full time and being a single mom, but it is working out for me. I really like the how the classes are set up at the university. You only take one class, and meet once a week for six weeks before moving on to the next course. The workload can seem to be overwhelming, but as long as you pace yourself, keep an open line of communication with your professor, and seek guidance from the members in your cohort you will feel much better about your schooling. The campus is very student friendly, and the professors can be very reasonable and are willing to work with you. The only thing I would really like for them to improve on is there internet server. It can be difficult to take advantage of your time when trying to accomplish tasks when the school has a very slow server or can't connect devices to the wi-fi. Overall, I think it is a great school, and I am already considering the same school to receive my specialist or doctorate degree.

Pros: The faculty members are very supportive, and they want nothing but success for us as students. They view you as their colleague.

Degree: Psychology

I really like the professors. No matter how busy they are, they always seem to make time for their students even if I contact them at 3am, I will still receive a reply in just a few minutes. They have a lot of connections outside of the school for job placements and faculty members work digilently to help find you job placements. The only negative thing about Brenau is that there is a not as much social events as some colleges.
