Degree: Accounting
Graduation Year: 2015

College is an incredible experience. You will make amazing friends, and it will be the time of your life. There's so much free time that you can easily have a work/life balance. Keep in mind the cost of college though. Be prepared to pay a significant amount of your money towards loans once you graduate. It's definitely worth it, to me, but you should know of all the plus and minus that go into it

The program for MAT in Teaching English to Students of Other Languages at Bridgewater State University has given me the opportunity to follow my passion. Since immigrating to the United States from Peru, where I worked as a Spanish teacher, I have lived in three states and I have been searching for the right school where I know that I matter. Upon moving to the Boston area, while I was doing my research on the right school, someone pointed me to Bridgewater State University because of its array of well-developed programs, the university is welcoming to other cultures and is proud of its diversity as an institution. I attended one of the universitys information session and when I voiced my confusion between programs they have available, personnel at the Graduate Department went out of their way to find the right person to answer my questions and guide me based on needs and hopes. I felt confident in the decisions I made afterwards; with their guidance, I prepared myself for the Massachusetts Test for Educator Licensure and submitted the requirements for the program and I was delighted when after many years of searching I was on the right path. Today, when I sit in class and listen to the professor and interact with my classmates, I know I am in the right program, place and that my dream of becoming a teacher in the United States is more attainable than ever.

Degree: Social Work
Graduation Year: 2019

Brdigewater State University is a close knit community and a great educational experience. After attending a large school for my undergraduate degree, it was nice to move to a smaller, more intimate location for pursuing my graduate degree. The professors are great!

Degree: Fitness Trainer

Great learning environment, passionate faculty member support student to achieve their goals. The class is based on hands-on experience. One of the benefit our program is having clinical rotation with professional and Division 1 college football teams.

The MSW program lacked creativity and I wish it had more freedom to pick courses

Degree: Special Education
Graduation Year: 2017

I entered a special education program that is great because I can still work in my field as I go to school and continue learning. The grad program is a great way to connect to other professionals in my area with similar goals.

Degree: Special Education
Graduation Year: 2015

I think Bridgewater State has a seriously quality program for both Undergrad and Graduate studies. As a BSU student in both programs, I've found the faculty to be more than helpful, and I have learned so much at the school.

Degree: Business
Graduation Year: 2017

I think that the teachers I have had are very passionate about bettering students lives and expanding their knowledge and ability to learn. However, I do not think that the school supports this with the lack of technology that is available to students and the overall condition of the school. The buildings are old and always cold in the winter and always sweltering in the summer. If the facilities and technology were more up to date I think students would be able to learn even more from the great teachers that are there.

Degree: Social Work
Graduation Year: 2014

There is really no time for a social life, but it is worth it - once you graduate with your degree. I was not offered any financial aid.
