The Counseling Psychology Degree at CIIS prepares students emotionally, intellectually, and empathetically to provide caring, non-judgmental support to those to whom they provide therapy. Because of the school's multifaceted and integral approach to psychoanalysis, students receive a well-rounded education, enabling them to excel in many treatment modalities. I have a hard time imagining a school that could better prepare one to serve as a clinician than CIIS.

The East-West Psychology Master's Program at CIIS is a transformative learning program that has changed my life. Synthesizing myriad approaches, I have learned to view my psychology practice from diverse perspectives, integrating spirituality, performance art, environmental awareness, dream work, depth psychology, systems theory, community sustainability, permaculture, and conscious activism. This cutting-edge school is unparalleled in its academic integrity, cultural relevance and community support. I highly recommend any program at CIIS and urge anyone who's passionate about healing the world to apply.

Academics and faculty are great, but location of the school is poor. Overall a great, cutting-edge school!

A solid education from a nontraditional background, CIIS provides community and depth of learning from knowledgeable instructors. Real world transferable skills were lacking in my department but could be easily attained on one's own.

The best thing about the program is the amazing supportive community of the school. The toughest thing is that it's intended to be a grad program for working adults but the workload really makes it difficult to keep working full time while attending classes.

This school seems to attract the exact right people that the program is for. It's an amazing experience.

The East-West Psychology program at CIIS offers a unique, holistic perspective which incorporates various teaching modalities, art, individual expression and flexibility. My focus in the program is Ecopsychology, an important field that studies the human relation to our planet Earth and how we can improve this relationship through spiritual practices, intellectual inquiry, psychotherapy and environmental action. I feel this is extremely important work in the world and I am glad to attend such an open-minded school.
