Degree: History
Graduation Year: 2004

The History department at CSUN is top notch. Although the school is massive, the department has an almost family-like feel to it and professors and staff are there to help you. The professors are among the best in their fields. Many of them could be teaching anywhere but choose to teach at a public, state university for personal reasons. The scholarship practices I learned in my time there are invaluable.

Degree: Public Administration
Graduation Year: 2014

The Public Administration program at California State University, Northridge is a very exceptional program. You are taught and mentored by professionals who work in leadership, county, corporation and highly-ranked state positions. These individuals come with a wealth of knowledge and are ready to help prepare you for the world before you. The On-Campus program is designed to help you gain a great amount of knowledge in small increments. The program consist of 10 courses and one comprehensive examination. The courses are taken in 8-week periods (one course per 8 weeks, some students have completed two in an 8-week period) so you don't become strained from all the assignments. This structured program works well for individuals who work full-time. I highly recommend this program for individuals looking to expand their knowledge in the public administration field and gain a job within the field as working professionals.

Degree: Political Science
Graduation Year: 2018

CSUN provides a great many people of all backgrounds the tools to succeed and impact their future immensely. Speaking in regards to the political science department, the professors, staff, and department go the extra length in response to what you put forth, be it in finding you extra academic conference funding, providing in-depth constructive critiques of your work, taking extra time out of their day to sit down and discuss how best to use your classes and connections to benefit your career. The academic programs take great care to explore new topics, old topics in new ways, and challenge you to produce work that truly represents your abilities so that you do not enter the workforce and have a steep learning curve.

Degree: Secondary Education
Graduation Year: 2019

The Elementary and Secondary Education graduate programs at California State University Northridge have produced quality educators for decades. Their program has produced several teachers who have received "Teacher of the Year" awards from the state of California. One reason CSUN produces quality teachers is the quality of professors within the program. The professors have years of field experience working as teachers or administrators in the K-12 setting. They blend their experiences and knowledge with the curriculum. CSUN's professors are also very personable. They are their to work along their students, and they care about the success and wellbeing of their students. These characteristics are passed on from the professors, helping to produce quality teachers in the process. As I'm going through the program, I am currently experiencing this and would highly recommend this program to prospective student-teachers.

I thought my college was amazing. I would suggest all future students to get involved with activities on campus, and spend a few hours a day studying in order go keep their grades up.

The program elucidates on many of the practical tools that one can use upon entering the work force. The school emphasizes team work so if you wish to get experience in this area, this would suit you. Also, the professors have years of experience in multiple areas of business which would prove useful in obtaining multiple perspectives.

Degree: Teaching
Graduation Year: 2018

The only problem with CSUN is that programs go in freeze, then the program becomes absolite. Now, I have to worry how to pay those loans and there's really no one to help you financially. My last semester, I will have to pay 2500 out of my pocket for my last class.
