Degree: Fitness Trainer
Graduation Year: 2015

CSUSB was . great school to attend to receive a degree in Kinesiology. The study had its own department and the teachers worked really well with the students putting them first and making sure the students understand and perform hands on experiences. They also provide various opportunities to get hands on training and experience to input on our resumes.

I think that California State University offers an excellent education opportunity for students because of the rich diversity on campus. There is a vast amount of educational opportunities presented on campus to learn new skills to advance in a career of my choice. Overall, I would highly recommend this school to anybody wishing to pursue higher education.

I was very hesitant to do my masters degree at CSUSB because I had done my bachelors in English Linguistics there and I was looking to broaden my horizons. However, when I began looking into other masters programs outside of California I began to notice that they have Composition & Rhetoric and Applied Linguistics under two different colleges hence I would have had to choose between the two. What was ultimately the deciding factor in me applying to do my MA at CSUSB was the fact that I could do both Composition and Applied Linguistics because for us they are both under the department of English. Personally I believe that composition and applied linguistics go hand in hand and they are very difficult to separate. I love the MA program at CSUSB because they have found a way to intertwine both concentrations and offer me opportunities to put theory to practice. Through the masters program they offer us the opportunity to apply to the Teaching Associateship program which allows us to teach two quarters of the first year writing composition courses at CSUSB. Having this opportunity to teach my own class is an amazing opportunity that not every program offers. I have successfully completed one year in the masters program and look forward to completing my degree this upcoming year.

Degree: School Counseling
Graduation Year: 2017

Hello, am currently working on my Masters in Counseling and Guidance at Cal State San Bernardino. It is a wonderful program, the classes are very interesting and are very informative on what as counselors we might experience once we have our degree. As well the professors are all very knowledgeable and helpful and easy to get a hold of. The program is organized into cohorts, which is nice because it helps students develop support groups within the program, that way you do not feel like you are experiencing this big journey all alone. I would definitely recommend this program to anybody interested in pursing a degree in counseling.

Degree: Art & Design
Graduation Year: 2018

I love that within our graduate program, we are not restricted to one form of art expression and implementation of ourselves within the community. It is great that it is an interdisciplinary program, and we can choose to gear more toward a personal artistic career, or work with the community in art enrichment. In San Bernardino, education is a lot more affordable that other places, we have an incredible selection of staff and networking opportunities. We also have adequate access to equipment depending on what areas we want to concentrate in. Unfortunately, we have had some issues with safety on campus, which is a significant concern.

Degree: ESL
Graduation Year: 2016

First year at this school, happy with the program, great instructors, great campus, plenty of parking, faculty is always available, super fast responses, but lots of homework. :) Don't see much patrolling security or police cars or officers, so not sure about the safety. Chose this university over CalPoly Pomona, because of the most terrible faculty and because of a very slow process, that takes ages and ages.

Degree: Social Work
Graduation Year: 2017

The school itself is not ranked as highly as the nearby University of California, Riverside, but the social work program itself is highly regarded and ranked 14th in the nation

Degree: Counseling
Graduation Year: 2016

I think this graduate program is awesome. The faculty is top notch, very supportive and have a passion for what they do. I think it would be nice to incorporate a little more technology into the program, but overall, it's great.
