Capella has excellence graduate programs. They have the program that I wanted. The university is online and in the classroom. It is required that you attend three colloquiums that are offered quarterly and held in different cities. We get the opportunity to interact with the faculty and other students. You learn a lot in the classes, and you are with students who are on your level. First-year students are Tract 1, second-year students are Tract 2, and third-year students are Tract 3.The university offers numerous ways of communicating. They have retreats, online discussions outside of the classroom, webinars, a writing center, just to name a few. It's a great school you should check it out.

Capella University provides a wide range support for it's students. The workload prepares it's graduates to enter the workforce well-equipped. I have had positive interaction with all my professors and classmates.

My grad program is 100% online, and independent of others student learners. This is good and bad, in that I am able to work at my own pace, but I also have no contact with my fellow classmates, eliminating the social learning aspect of grad school.

Degree: Psychology
Graduation Year: 2018

Capella University has been one of the most rewarding experiences I have had. I finished my MS in the Studies of Human Behavior in March 2012 took some time off and went back to start my doctoral work in the Summer of 2013 and it has been the most wonderful experience. The instructors are hard but fair and the Advising Crew is the best in the USA I wouldn't trade them for the world. The customer service is excellent and even when mistakes are made the staff at Capella will do their best to correct the matter. I truly love Capella University and I am so...glad that I found this university.

Pros: I can get a quality education online at an institution with diverse programs. Cons: I filled out my FASFA and they have trouble getting my financial data for any aid. I have checked to ensure my information in the application was correct and have not heard yet why there is a problem.

Degree: Human Services

The courses have very valuable information, but I wish it was little more interactive for online students. After the first couple courses everything becomes routine. Also if guidance can be given to the learner on how to properly use education in employment efforts.

Capella University has provided me with an excellent learning opportunity. As an online learner, it is important for me as an adult learner to be able to access the information that I need without much difficulty. The only con of the program is the cost. Depending on the program, the cost can be pretty expensive. Also, there is a lack of scholarship money available for PhD students.

Capella is a great University, the adviser's are with you all the way. It is pricey in comparison with other online schools but if you are looking for flexibility this is your place. The courses are very involved but they are not impossible to complete and the instructors are very eager to help you succeed. I didn't grade all areas because they did not apply to me.

Degree: Counseling
Graduation Year: 2017

As a current graduate at Capella University, currently enrolled in the Mental Health Counseling program, there are both pros and cons in any program pursued. In my opinion, one of the pros for the Mental Health Counseling program is that one is able to learn what any other student would learn if they were in any other program on campus. During this graduate program, each student will have the opportunity to attend residency, which will give the graduate the opportunity to enhance ones knowledge of Mental Health by participating in advanced group studies, building activities and so much more. However, just as there are pros there are cons. Although Capella is currently providing excellent online course structure, the Mental Health Counseling program averages about $37,000 to complete and receive for your Master's degree. The program is excessively over the amount of other Universities or those whom are in the Mental Health programs. Knowing this, Capella has a limited opportunity for scholarships for Counseling graduates. Capella has currently opened a scholarship for those who apply and enroll for September 2015, but what about the students who are already current students in this program? So, I believe that Capella should have more scholarship opportunities for the Counseling graduates. Thank you!

Degree: Higher Education
Graduation Year: 2017

Getting my masters in Higher Education will further my potential in pursuing a career in working in admissions. I hope to be able one day to become the director of admissions at a college. But finances are holding me back from pursuing this. I cant add certain courses because I cannot pay them. I could really use the help that this scholarship will provide.
