Great school. Lots of readings which help forward my education. Learned a lot in 10 weeks of class then I did when I was in college.

My expectations of Capella and my education have been exceeded! I recognize the value of the classes in the program and have truly enjoyed my experience with this school. I am proud to be a Capella student. The only con would be I am not sure where I stand in comparisson to other students and would like to know my standings as a 4.0 student. I want to know where I fall and how many other students are comparable to me.

The Capella IDOL Program is 100% online, meaning I am able to work on my degree from wherever I am. There are opportunities to gather and learn from the expert faculty, as well as other learners. Online learning is not "easier" than a seated course structure as it requires discipline, focus, and dedication. You cannot be shy about asking questions of your instructor, as well as reaching out to other learners. Working collaboratively is one of the great benefits of Capella classes. Learners are encouraged and opportunities are provided for collaborative learning. Outside of the classroom, the technical and academic support services, including the library, are outstanding. I feel as if everyone is there to support my goals.

Degree: Psychology
Graduation Year: 2018

The staff is very helpful. Every question I asked was answered. I decided to apply to Capella because they were one of the only programs that were military friendly and accredited for online psychology masters programs. The only con I see at the moment is the cost.

Degree: Computer Science
Graduation Year: 2017

The online degree program at Capella University is very challenging and comprehensive. Although the course load sometimes feels slightly overwhelming, I'm confident that I will be adequately preared for a career in Information Technology. This program is a career change for me and honestly because of the support and excellent instruction that I have and will receive from the instructors at Capella, I'm excited to apply my knowledge to the duties of a new job in IT!

Degree: School Counseling
Graduation Year: 2016

The flexibility of the online format is key for me being able to earn my master's degree. I have been very impressed with the rigor of the coursework. Instructors tend to be very supportive and encouraging; they seem genuinely interested in each learner's success. My overall grade given here is a bit skewed because several of the categories are not relevant (i.e. Affordability of Living). It should actually be a 9 out of 10. The only aspect of Capella that I would change is to have them provide more scholarship opportunities.

Degree: Public Administration
Graduation Year: 2016

I picked Capella because of the Public Administration program which I saw was not as good in other colleges. Overall, the work is decent and the professors are respectful and fair. This is something that students look for when attending a college. The cons are some of the course work is redundant, but the school does receive comments and try to change to satisfy the student.

Degree: Public Health
Graduation Year: 2017

I am extremely impressed with the online doctoral program in Public Health that I am enrolled in at Capella University. Despite the non-traditional, online format of the program, the institution has done a fantastic job in replicating the experience typical of a brick-and-mortar institution. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and approachable and the academic coaches (analogous to an academic advisor) are more than willing in guiding students on the appropriate academic path.

Degree: Counseling
Graduation Year: 2017

Capella is a great option for your graduate education. This option was best for me because I worked full-time and have a child. I was always able to reach my instructors and get good feedback. There are not any group assignments which was a preference of mine. There is a lot of homework but I feel the quality of information and learning is significant.
