The graduate program at Capella is very well laid out by your advisor in terms of classes needed. You need to take ahold of your plan and stay on top. I really enjoy the technical support and how the Instructors help with any questions. The classes are set up with no tests, you have on -line questions to post about the book or topic. The time frame given is appropriate! The con about the on-line program is that the school is in a different time zone and when given instructions to post by mid-night, it's their time zone. So in California you need to post by 10pm. No budging for the west coast on time. I was also hoping for more time to complete asignments. I get two hours less.

Degree: Marriage & Family Therapy
Graduation Year: 2015

My program is wonderful. It has allowed me to pursue my dream of being a Licensed Marriage and Family Counselor while still working a 50 hour a week job. The professors are knowledgeable and demanding but I cherish the rigor they put me through as it will make me a better therapist. Tuition is a bit high but I am paying for the convenience of receiving a top-notch education from the comfort of my home. I wish they would make the mandatory residencies a little shorter as those of us that work have a difficult time of taking vacation leave to attend. Also, these mandatory meetings should be included in tuition and we should be allowed to pay for them with financial aid funds.

Degree: Counseling
Graduation Year: 2013

High quality education, faculty that are committed to mentoring students (obviously not every single one but the majority!), residencies offer an opportunity to network and learn new skills in a hands on environment. Affordable (as far as online grad school goes). Forget the "for profit" argument - Capella's profit is the value it gets from successful students!
