Capella has offered me the opportunity to attend college while working full time. It has offered me an experience to connect with other learners at various sites for classes. I am appreciative of the experience and the opportunity.

I love online school. I really enjoy my classmates from all over the country. The instructors are caring and warm and helpful. I like being free to plan out what I will do and when I want to do it. If something comes up, I do my work another day. I like this better than regular classroom.

Capella does an excellent job of preparing you for the dissertation process through the colloquia that students must attend, however it can be quite costly, and you must prepare in advance for this.

Capella University is good school. The only problems are the workloads and the price goes up each year.

From enrollment to the first class, I believe Capella is a solid educational choice. My enrollment adviser assisted with my paperwork and helped with the transition to my DBA.

Some of the above rating sections are not applicable. Leaving these areas blank does not provide the university justice so a high level of rating was applied. The pros of the program are ease of use, accessible anywhere, anytime, with encouraging professors. The cons, as with any educational program is cost of a graduate degree, with limited scholarship opportunities. The other disadvantage is that it is not associated with the HRSA Loan repayment program.

Degree: Counseling
Graduation Year: 2015

The pros of my graduate program is that I have a great deal of support from the school's faculty, I am able to work from home, the program has allowed me the opportunity to be able to further my education and while be able to continue to work on my job in the community, and this program has allowed me the opportunity to not only learn coursework from my field of study, which is Mental Health Counseling, but the program also includes other areas of counseling in the community that I able to obtain knowledge from. The cons would include the program not having many scholarships available through the school for my field of study, and not allowing more grants for residencies.

All of the course work is directly applicable to my career. The Professors are excellent! This is the best educational experience that I have had so far.

Degree: School Counseling
Graduation Year: 2016

Before I start the School Counseling Program at Capella University, I was very unsure about going back to school. I was scare of failing, scare of how much time it will take, and I was not sure if I had the time to do it with a full-time job. After several people said I that it comes natural to me, I started thinking hard about it. I worked with students in students success centers helping them with financial aid, essays, college applications and basic life advice. I start to see that I would be great at school counseling. Jump several year ahead, I applied to Capella University and I am loving every minute of it. Yes it can be hard at times, be I have great support who pushes me on and tells me I can do it. I love every minute of it and I am so glad I did it. The school is very supportive, the counselors are easy to talk to, and my professors give me great encouragement with every paper and discussion I submit. i would recommend this school to everyone who feels it in their heart to return back to school. "You can do it"
