Degree: Counseling
Graduation Year: 2015

The pros of my graduate program is that I have a great deal of support from the school's faculty, I am able to work from home, the program has allowed me the opportunity to be able to further my education and while be able to continue to work on my job in the community, and this program has allowed me the opportunity to not only learn coursework from my field of study, which is Mental Health Counseling, but the program also includes other areas of counseling in the community that I able to obtain knowledge from. The cons would include the program not having many scholarships available through the school for my field of study, and not allowing more grants for residencies.

All of the course work is directly applicable to my career. The Professors are excellent! This is the best educational experience that I have had so far.

Degree: Public Policy
Graduation Year: 2012

Before beginning at Capella, I was concerned about taking online classes and how my degree would be viewed in the workforce. Since my graduation I have found a great job and I am able to apply things learned at Capella in my day-to-day activities at work. Capella challenged me to use my knowledge by writing papers rather than the usual multiple choice tests I had for my undergrad. I am considering taking more claases through Capella for Counseling and pursuing a licensure.

Degree: Counseling
Graduation Year: 2015

The Mental Health Counseling Master's program at Capella University is wonderful, the faculty is knowledgeable and helpful and the courses are challenging but not overbearing. One of the major pros to the program is that it is available online completely with the exception of the residency requirements.

Degree: Public Health
Graduation Year: 2016

I have been very pleased with my education at Capella. Even though I am not on a physcial campus, I am able to make contact with the advisors, faculty and staff very easily. I have never waited more than a day to have a question answered and I feel like I have a personal connection with the staff and they are always so willing to help me with whatever I need.

Degree: Public Administration
Graduation Year: 2016

Great program and full or support by faculty and peers. I was not a fan of distance learning and on-line course work and this changed my mind forever!

Degree: Healthcare Administration
Graduation Year: 2015

Online learning takes dedication and motivation, but is great for those who are unable to take traditional brick and mortar classes for whatever reason. It is more difficult to interact with classmates and the discussion boards are not as useful for me personally as a face-to-face discussion.

Degree: Curriculum & Instruction
Graduation Year: 2015

The pros in the graduate program at Capella University is the faculty support and amount of learning resources available to help you excel in the program. The cons in the graduate program is the turn around time to receive approvals when you get to the dissertation level.
