The pros in the graduate program at Capella University is the faculty support and amount of learning resources available to help you excel in the program. The cons in the graduate program is the turn around time to receive approvals when you get to the dissertation level.

I love the fact that it is available in an online only format with flexibility throughout the week as far as when to log on and complete assignments.

I feel Capella is the best online University and is highly accredited. It course work load is high but the learning is tremendous. I take course from personality development to cultural diversity and we also attend a colloquium twice beside our internship. Capella allows you to take once course at a time in its Master's program which I do in order to get good grades because the workload is a lot. Many people can handle two courses at a time but I guess being 55 years old, I am a little slower than most students. I want to work in Domestic violence clinics and volunteer with the homeless. My final goal is to achieve my LPC which Capella will prepare me for in the future. I have recommended Capella to many people and 3 of them so far attend. Capella University is a great online learning experience.

Everything has its pros and cons; graduate school is no different. It seems that the major con is finding funds to pay for graduate school.

The online graduate program allows me to continue to work fulltime in my field. While balancing both, I am obtaining my knowledge by gaining professional experience as well as academically. The continuous communication between classmates and instructors is beneficial to grow.

Graduate school has been challenging yet rewarding. It is a constant grind. In addition, an open forum of credible ideals and structure.

Pros of the program are definitely the content of work you perform, the clarity of the classes, the accessibility of resources, ease of getting in contact with other students and professors. Cons are you are never sure of the validity of the program because you are able to see other people's work and those not up to par could be getting the same grade as you. Also, taking online classes could be a disadvantage in the work force because employers may not feel online classes are as difficult as classes in person.

I have just began my graduate studies at Capella online. So far the counselor has been very helpful and school provides extra tools for student who have issues with writing and math. Online programs are not for everyone so the student has to be self motivated in order to do well in the online education environment.
