Degree: Information Technology
Graduation Year: 2017

The pros of my graduate program are that all my courses are online and I can move at my own pace to achieve my degree. I have a full time job and I'm committed to organizations in my community so moving at my own pace is very important to me. Having an online degree program allows me to access school information from anywhere with an internet connection. The cons are not having that face to face interaction with your professors. I have also attended a traditional college and I feel that have that face to face communication with your professors helps you gauge on certain aspects of whatever course you're taking. Seeing your professors emotions verses reading them makes a big difference.

Pros: I am able to work on my class work according to my schedule. I work full time, and am a father retired Navy, father of 5. Finding time isn’t always easy. The online PhD program will enhance my current career. The courses are challenging and the instructors, for the most part, are very helpful. Cons: I worry that an online PhD may be looked down on. I miss face-to-face learning opportunities and lab work at a university

Affordability, flexibility, and convenience are major reasons to choose Capella University's Education online graduate programs. Take classes when you want, on your schedule, and when you can - as many or as few as you can handle! With Capella, it's easy to balance a full-time job with schooling. Downside? There's no physical interaction with your peers or professors, so it's important to at least have a basic understanding of the internet and Office.

Degree: Counseling
Graduation Year: 2016

Capella University online has been great for me since I am working full time. I had only been taking one course at a time, but now I am taking two and the work load is a lot. I do feel that I am being challenged academically. Most of the professors are engaged in the course, but there have been a couple that are not as helpful.

I'm new to the program, so my ratings are based on a short period of time. But I have had a great experience. I am restarting my Masters in Clinical Psychology, which I had to suspend due to deployment for a year overseas as a combat medic. They were very understanding and helpful with me the whole way.The education so far is extremely pertinent.

Degree: Counseling
Graduation Year: 2017

Capella University is a superb online institution, that trains students in becoming productive, competent professionals. Through their online graduate Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program, I have learned things that I overlooked when attending an actual in-class lecture. Flexibility, and CACREP met standards, are perhaps the most important and satisfying factors in this graduate program!

The overall experience has been good but there is a lot of redundancy in the classes

This school is great. I recommend it to any student that wants to pursue a degree while working a full time job. Please once you get in take all classes seriously in order not to waste your time or money. All the professors know your struggles and are understanding to certain situations. It is hard to juggle your personal and your academic career and be successful but there is always tutoring, webinars, and emailing the advising center for guidance. I loved it.

I enjoyed every minute of my time with Capella. I believe it is a worthwhile program that will allow me to achieve my goals in becoming a school superintendent.
