The courses for the doctoral level are very in-depth. There is a lot of reading and research. You get case studies and work with peers through a virtual meeting room to get the in person experience and everyone has a role to play on the team. The instructors are always providing feedback on how to improve whether its the APA format, referencing, or plagiarism. The only downside I think is mentoring with a person that is working in the field already. You pretty much have to find one on your own whether at your current work facility or volunteering.

I feel the graduate program will be as beneficial to my continued learning and career success as was the bachelor's program.

Capella is an amazing university. I attend online, but I am still provided with campus safety reports, invitations to attend campus-based activities, and I have access to the alumni association, professors, administration, and every support service available, including a career center. The programs are rigorously monitored in order to ensure positive learner outcomes, and support services are available every step of the way, to help learners succeed. I am very proud of the education I have received from Capella University and I'd recommend them to anyone who is seeking to further their education.

Degree: Public Administration
Graduation Year: 2014

After attending school at a brick and mortar institution, I can say that the courses at Capella were on par with a typical college and for the most part more difficult. The challenge was not met with anything but extraordinary professors who were more than willing to assist in any way possible, much more than I experienced at my campus university. I am currently looking at a doctoral program through Capella because of the success and challenge I found in their MPA program.

Degree: Business

The graduate program is great, however financial planning was not complete and now I find myself in hardship. I feel that a more careful evaluation of my student loan situation should have been completed to assure that I wouldn't be now through course work but without help for disssertation.

The overall grade is incorrect as I did not need to address issues unrelated to an online program. I am very happy with Capella University overall. The pros are the convenience of online study. Cons - I had one teach who was not very responsive (and one fantastic teacher). The web site isn't as user friendly as it could be, but there is a wealth of information on it.

Degree: Social Work
Graduation Year: 2015

I am currently enrolled in the online program and I have to say that the professors are knowledgeable and available. I have a variety of individuals and personalities in my classes. I love being able to learn at my own pace.

I am completing on online program so some of the items that can be rated don't apply to me. I am very happy with the school I am attending. There wasn't a N/A rating for Transportation, Student Diversity, Social Life, Affordability of Living and Campus Safety. The only thing I could say negative about the program is the school grants or scholarships that are available to students are not available for me to apply to because of the program I am in. Because I can not apply for school based scholarships, I am searching and applying for other scholarship opportunities. I am fortunate to be completing the degree with Capella University.
