Degree: Business
Graduation Year: 2014

This program can be difficult because it's an online program. There is the need for interaction face to face more regularly than the three (3) residencies. This school can gain more if there were brick and mortar schools located in central area of the country where students can have the option to visit when they need help especially at the dissertation phase. There is no replacement for face to face contact.

The pros that I currently see is the structure of the program, the 24/7 access and the ability to network across the country. The only con that I would see is the just the lack of residency locations.

Degree: Psychology
Graduation Year: 2015

I love the online community it is very diverse and easily accessible. The workload is always reasonable and scheduling is flexible which is great. Most of the professors are great, easy to get in contact with, present in the course room and knowledgeable. I feel much more comfortable and productive with online learning overall.

Degree: Criminal Justice
Graduation Year: 2014

Online learning provided a way for me to continue my education and still work full-time. My professors worked with me when my professional life conflicted with my student life. The cons were colloquia is mandatory but not covered by financial aid. Books are not covered in tuition like some online programs.

Degree: Counseling
Graduation Year: 2014

I left some areas blank because they were not applicable to the online learning environment. Ultimately, I chose Capella University and the School Counseling program because of the accreditation it has received through CACREP. The program is focused and based on current research. I look forward to finishing my last 3 quarters with Capella University!

Degree: Healthcare Administration
Graduation Year: 2014

Capella University is overall an excellent school. The Health Administration doctoral program is great. The coursework is both informative and presented in a manner of helping to grasp the material in order to complete the program but also to be used in both the personal and professional life of the student. However, I feel that the staff is somewhat impersonal on the administrative side because I have never heard from my academic counselor. Also, upon needing the school to help me with funding to complete my program, there seems to be no desire or drive to help me as a student who has maintained a 4.0 throughout my doctoral program.

Degree: Counseling
Graduation Year: 2013

I have really enjoyed my Capella experience. I found the majority of my instructors very well versed who went out of their way to make the course requirements pertinent to what I need in my future career. After being out of school for so long, they were always ready to give assistance as needed.

Being a student at Capella has afforded me the opportunity to learn the skills necessary to work effectively in school guidance counseling. Skills are learned and immediately applied in the lessons. The hands on application of the knowledge that you receive has been a wonderful experience for me. The counselors and instructors are available to assist and answer any questions that you may have. They are very quick to answer emails.
