Instructors are currently working in the field in which they are teaching so coaching is relevance to current practices. Some are very rigorous with grading, while others are flexible. I appreciate that no classes require group work, so I have been able to focus on my own effort, and not others'.

Capella University has an exceptional atmosphere for learning and challenging students engage one another on topics of the day. Specifically, Capella University uses real-world cases that challenge students to ask tough questions and dig in to the details as to why something happened and examine cause and relationship factors. Most importantly Capella University offers doctoral learners good tools by which to conduct research across a variety of subject areas all the while providing mentorship to keep students focused and on track. Great school!; great place to study and advance one's education!

So far, I have had a great experience with Capella University, starting from the help of my adviser, who was always in touch with me through out the application process, and updated me with any new information; help me through my financial aid process as well. When I started my class, the instructor was wonderful and made me feel comfortable through personal emails, course emails. Online portal is user friendly, and easy to navigate. Overall, it's been a great experience for me

I enjoyed attending Capella, because I could further my education while being a stay at home mother and military spouse. I was able to continue my education when we lived in Germany. I liked being able to set my own pace and work around my family's schedule.

Capella has been great! The staff is easily available and accessible. The variety in the format of the programs offered at Capella give students options that can really adjust to their lifestyles. In some programs students are allowed to choose a standard program or an accelerated program based on how fast they can work through it all by proving their competency through assessments. The College of Psychology is very supportive of their students and try to accommodate all situations. Highly recommended!

Degree: Human Services
Graduation Year: 2018

Capella University, School of Public Service Leadership is a doctoral program that allows students to continue their careers while also achieving their academic goals. The school is an accredited institution that pushes students through a doctoral process that prepares you for your field of study and most importantly your dissertation work. I find the program very challenging, very organized and believe that the process has strengthened my writing, research and comprehensive skills in the area of non-profit management. I would recommend, but caution learners that this school requires extensive work and you must be prepared for the journey.

I chose Capella because I needed the flexibility in my life, I have a full time job and I wanted to further my education in order to give me the boost I needed to find my career. With Capella, everything is online, unless you actually live in Missouri. The assessments (assignments) are few but involve critical thinking and keep you focused on what you will be doing in the real world. The coaches and tutors are always there to help you out whenever you need it.
