Capella University's program of learning is very challenging and forces commitment and dedication for successful completion due to the independent study design. Very supportive and available faculty, academic advising and financial aid staff. A great learning experience.

Degree: Educational Leadership
Graduation Year: 2016

I am excited to attending Capella University to earn my doctorate degree. The pros pertaining to this program is that this format fits my busy schedule. Without a program such as this one, I would not be able to further my education. A con would be is that distance learning via online is still fairly new and some employers do not view degrees earned in this format as valuable as those earned through traditional means.

Degree: Counseling
Graduation Year: 2015

One must be very self motivated and self-disciplined to complete work. These are very positive for a work experience. There is tons of help from the college and students when someone has difficulty.

Some of the categories do not apply because it is online, but what I can say is that you have to be very disciplined in getting your work done and in on time.

If not for Capella university online, and schools like I would not be able to continue my education. In the current economy I, and many Graduate students like me are not able to work a full-time job that provides enough income as well as complete a graduate degree. Capella University has afforded me this opportunity and for it I am greatful!

I loved that my program was available online as it worked so well with my work schedule. I learned more online than I did sitting in a classroom. I was forced to actually do my readings and assignments instead of just skating by.

Degree: Information Technology
Graduation Year: 2014

Capella provides a very good Masters program in Information Technology. It has just been revamped and the degree program is now MS Information Systems and Technology Management. I have a background in Information Assurance, so I was able to use my CISSP to gain credit for 5 courses. The coursework is challenging and the weekly discussion boards are very lively. Some students critique others as if they are the Professor from time to time, which is very humorous to me. Overall, Capella is a good program for IA studies. The most important part is that it's endorsed by the NSA!!

Graduation Year: 2016

March 30, 2013 Capella University is an awesome academic school. Although my program is online, it requires spending time with the reading, discussion post, and assignments. The use of technology by the university is cutting edge. It is not often one finds away to conduct psychology experiments in their home. This is accomplished by software specialized for individual use. As it concerns the academic demand, it is rigorous. Clearly, the university does not give away Psychology Doctorates. My only complaint, it is difficult to form relationship for me as I do not enjoy computer networking. As a result, I have not been able to continue significant friendships with my classmates. Also, my writing is not as good as it was during my Masters program due to my focus regarding discussion posts. My aim is to get them done in a timely manner. However, on the assignments I spend more time as they require extra attention to detail. Finally, the Capella experience has enriched me. I am sure, upon completing the program, I will be a scholar and practitioner (the model for our program).
