Degree: Liberal Arts
Graduation Year: 2016

The pros consisted of the ability to work full time and complete degree online as not to interfere with work. The cons were that the work load was astronomically high. Felt the school was trying to prove that they were legit by requiring an abundance of work.

Studying online the physical characteristics are less important, while the financial aid and career opportunities/connections are vastly important. My rating for these is in response to having little to no real pathway for career opportunities during courses, or upon graduation, as well as no scholarship/tuition help-which is very inconvenient because online tuition is much more expensive than traditional schools, with an added stigma.

Pros will allow me to continue my career and enhance my experience from a business aspect. Cons will be making sure I am on board with the learning environment as it is difficult

Graduation Year: 2015

One pro about my graduate program is that online education allows me to complete my assignments in the comfort of my own home at any time of day. One con about my graduate program is that I do miss having more face-to-face interactions with others.

The curriculum is great, the only problem is the accreditation and I think that this is for most online schools. Most employers are looking for experience and an accreditated school (CAHME, etc) which are mostly brick and mortar schools.

Degree: Educational Leadership
Graduation Year: 2013

The PROS of the program: 1) up-to-date with current trends and emerging professional trends 2) development of theoretical and critical learning and how to apply it in real-life situations 3) development and growth of knowing the difference of being student/learner to independent researcher/educator 4) Developing and enhancing professional philosophies within the professional sphere and applying it to your career/situation The CONS: 1) The advising department--overall needs some more hands-on training 2) Lack of departmental and university-wide scholarships

I have been very impressed with Capella but am now experiencing financial difficulty.

Degree: Counseling
Graduation Year: 2015

The main con that I would have to point out is the lack of the opportunity to get to know one's instructors due to having a different one for every class every semester.
