I am majoring in child and adolescent development which is a psychology based program. I love Capella for the most part, but some of the classes I do not find applicable in my future endeavors as an adolescent therapist. It is a rigorous program which I am on my 3rd year of and still have 4 1/2 quarters left until graduation. Overall, the information has been very valuable, but as I stated earlier some is very tedious and unimportant to me. Overall, the professors have been helpful, but some contridict what is written in the rubric/syllabus by describing it differently on the discussion board, but still grading with an inappropriate rubric based on their suggestions. I would suggest that the rubrics are reinforced and professors take some time to explain exactly what they are looking for in a paper/post. With all of these suggestions, I would NOT choose to go anywhere else except Capella University!!!

I like the program with online classes and discussions. Intense research and assignments, which improve knowledge. No transportation needed. Technology works well.

Areas that I left blank were not applicable to me. I think the Human Resource Management program at Capella University is excellent! The faculty as well as the advisors have been very instrumental to my success. i am fortunate to have the opportunity to complete my degree online.

I love attending Capella Unversity online. I work full time, my work week varies from 35 plus hours a week. Capella provides me an opportunity to work full time and focus on my education. The staff and the students are great.

The program was just what I needed to propell me in the direction of my purpose. I am thankful to all who were there to assist me on this journey. If this program was not what I needed I would not be considering continuing on to my PhD. I feel Capella has prepared me to go all the way.

More professor interaction would be appreciated, and a greater adherence to writing requirements.

Pros is the ability to do your work at your own pace. Cons not enough financial to support while trying to complete a masters or phd program.

I don’t physically go to a campus. Everything is strictly on-line. The university should work better to have satellite guidance counseling offices in major cities of the U.S. Phone conversations a more course work within a quarter is not enough. I was under the assumption that I would be finish within 2 ½ years. It will actually take me an additional year to complete the program. That’s almost 4 years for a master’s degree which is completely unacceptable. If I was given a better understanding of the curriculum before beginning I would have transferred and became a full-time student in order to graduate within my personal two-year plan.
