Degree: Social Sciences
Graduation Year: 2016

The pros of this graduate program are that I have the flexibility as a single parent to learn online. I also like the fact that this school is accredited for me to become a license counselor.

Graduation Year: 2013

Capella does a good job at meeting academic needs with courses being relevant to the degree of study. The financial aid department is a nightmare to work with and very little is available for students with financial need. Professors are generally quick to reply to student questions, however, trying to get answers from the college can take an extremely long time.

The program is excellent until you get to the dissertation phase. At the dissertation phase the level of support drops off dramatically.

Definite pros for Capella University are the flexibility of attending class and performing course room materials. Cons are that the outside interaction with fellow colleagues is somewhat difficult due to the vast amount of times zones involved.

good school, but needs to help students with financial difficulty a little more, especially with the currnt economy. These students are doing their best and have no control over layoffs and other adverse actions that befall them. Do not blame the student! Qutting school is NEVER the answer. Capella has a great doctoral program. You have to work hard and that's okay. It was gotten the seal of excellence and many other industry awards. worth the workload and study. Looking forward to finishing my degree soon as I can get back on my feet.

It is very detailed and keeps the student up to todays standards and competencies for the job market. The only thing is I wish it provided ways for online student to attend internships/fellowships while attending school.
