Degree: Physician Assistant
Graduation Year: 2017

The pros of this program greatly outnumber the cons. The professors, staff, and mentors working for the program make the program everything that it is today. The experience learned in and out of the classroom are irreplaceable. The coursework is rigorous, but that is to be expected at the graduate level. The faculty is extremely supportive and wants success in each one of the students. Everyone in the program encourages a noncompetitive environment, which as a student is very important to reduce stress! I would recommend this program to anyone interested in becoming a physician assistant!

Degree: Physical Therapy
Graduation Year: 2018

Central Michigan University has a great physical therapy program. They have advanced technology and amazing teacher. They send 12 students to Michigan Tech. University and I was one of those students. Going to Michigan Tech was a huge change for me and very expensive. They did not provide a place for me to stay and did not give me much time to go visit Houghton's campus. It was difficult to find a place to live, but I managed. Being away from home is stressful, but it is also a great learning experience.

The graduate program at CMU is a great supplement to my current career. I have been able to apply most of the information obtained from classes to my current career.

Degree: Public Administration
Graduation Year: 2014

The MPA NASPAA Accredited program at CMU is an exceptional program that adds tremendous value to scholars looking to work in public affairs. I learned so much about our social systems, government structure, and management of government and non-profit entities. This program is well rounded and has helped me further develop my passion in organizational culture and structure. The professors have real life experiences in the field that added a great deal of insight into what public administration practitioners encounter on a daily basis. As a student I felt very supported and encouraged by the Program Director Dr. Greitens. I feel very prepared to enter to public administration workforce.

Degree: Business
Graduation Year: 2016

CMU has a great global campus to people internationally but for me it is a way to get a CMU degree without having to go back to the main campus. My undergrad degree is from CMU and there was no question where I wanted to get my graduate degree. The course selection is good, the professors are great, and the value is mediocre only because it is very expensive but the quality is high. I am only in my first year but I already feel a sense of belonging. I am very proud to be a Chippewa again!

Degree: Communications (Speech Pathology)
Graduation Year: 2016

Collaboration is encouraged between students as well as between students and professors. The on campus clinic and outside placements prepare us for a real career. Assignments given to us are all helpful for bettering ourselves as professionals and not just busy work. The campus and resources on campus are great, as well.

Degree: Instructional Technology
Graduation Year: 2016

Pros: The 100% online program allows working adults to continue completely with their lives from any location. Professors are easy to communicate with and treat us as professionals and not just students. Cons: Though completely online, the program is equally as expensive as an in-class degree. Though there are scholarship opportunities just for the online students, they are often program specific making it slim choices for opportunities outside those programs.

Degree: Creative Writing
Graduation Year: 2017

While it can be difficult getting what you need from the people you need, the staff are amazing. The teachers really care and the faculty are very committed to seeing you succeed. I feel they are worth spending the time and money on and the programs are fun

Degree: Counseling
Graduation Year: 2016

The instructors are very involved and easy to approach with any issue. The down side to this program is that there are very few classes offered in the summer months for anyone who might be interested in complete the program quickly.
