"CSU is great! You have to put in the work. The degree will not be handed over to you. I saw many students failing, but they also didn't do the work. There are a few bad professors there, but every college has them. Do your work and show up. If you don't like putting in the work, then don't attend CSU. You're an adult now."

"I really liked how hands on the teachers are helping you learn and grow if you're struggling, but I didn't like the limiting things to do on campus and under standard facilities. The campus food is below average and the community gym is not up to standard and should be renovated in order to encourage more students to take their health seriously."

"Charleston Southern University is an excellent college If you want to get more in touch with your faith. As a criminal justice major and psychology minor, the classes are fun and entertaining. It is what you make of it. If you are looking for fellow Christians to share the faith, this is the school for you!"

"It was just ok. I was an athlete and enjoyed my experience but felt the classroom could have been a little more engaging. I liked some of my professors and didn't care for a few. Overall it's an average school. Charleston is awesome, though! Definitely spend some time downtown."

  • Degree: Psychology
"I started CSU with the main reasoning of wanting to receive an education with a strong Christian background and that is what I got. Aside from the great University, the Psychology department that I interacted with on a daily basis was truly God sent. My professors were challenging educators in their classrooms and were mentors outside of their classrooms. I could not imagine a finer group of individuals that could further my education as well as my faith. To anyone considering a bachelors degree in Psychology I highly recommend CSU's program. The staff is amazing and the coursework prepares you for whatever you want to pursue once you leave the University. Once you leave the University never believe that you are alone in this boundless world because the people in this department will always be behind you 100%. Personally, I can name a few professors that sacrificed well needed time to assist me with a crisis or two after graduation. As a matter of fact they are still helping me now in search for Masters programs and job opportunities. I honestly can say I never want to lose touch with these special individuals because they broadened my life educationally and spiritually to such a degree that I do not know how I could ever repay them. I can truly say I am and will always be a true Buccaneer."
