Degree: Social Work
Graduation Year: 2019

I love Cleveland State University. I completed my undergraduate degree here last year and with no hesitation applied for a masters program here. Since entering the Social Work program, I have been welcomed with open arms and have had doors opened for me with such great opportunities. I have been placed with such a internship to get hands on experience in my field and all my professors are extremely knowledgeable.

Degree: Public Health

The public health program through Cleveland State was PERFECT for someone working full time and trying to get a masters degree. The core classes are a split of in person weekend classes and online work.

College is a necessary evil. Although my position did not require a Masters degree, it helped distinguish me among other candidates. I now make almost double than my parent who only obtained a GED. My husband and I had combined amount of over 80k in student loans, yet we buckled down and paid them off just recently at age 33, so it's not impossible!

Do not judge a college based on it's sticker price. Often times, private schools are more affordable than state schools once financial aid has been given.

Degree: MBA
Graduation Year: 2017

Cleveland State University has an excellent Master of Business Administration (MBA) program. The quality of education is excellent. I have learned very practical information from each class such as accounting, operations management, financial management, and innovation. What is very valuable about CSU program is that the school encourages entrepreneurship. At CSU, I participated in a entrepreneurship immersion weekend, called Startup Vikes, which helped to train students on how to conduct market research and how to outline a business plan in order to start a business. CSU is very affordable compared to other MBA programs. The school is very safe. I utilize the Campus Safety Escort service so I don't need to walk to my car at night after class. CSU hosts career fairs to help students get internships. The program is great.

Overall I had a great experience. The primarily evening format fit my schedule well, and the faculty (especially in advanced accounting and strategy classes) was excellent. The school itself is well laid out and modern, and the buildings are connected with walkways, making getting around in bad weather easy.

Cleveland State University gave me a good glimpse into the working world and enabled me to start growing my network. It was a hands-on education that proved useful to me when starting my career.
