Student & Graduate Reviews

3.92 out of 5.0
Degree: Management
Graduation Year: 2014

I am participating in the CSU Global Campus and love it. There are definite differences compared to a traditional brick and mortar campus, but the pros far out weight any cons. Students at CSU Global Campus are independent, intelligent, and driven. The professors are very helpful and encourage an open dialog that lead to advance thought on the various class topics. Assignments are often difficult and require a significant amount of research; however, this educational model prepares students for the real world where answers are not always clear.

Degree: Human Resources
Graduation Year: 2015

The online courses were the deciding factor in my selecting this program due to my heavy workload. Although it enables me to do coursework at essentially any time of the day or night, I miss out on the ability to ask questions directly to classmates or the professor. They do respond, but the responses are (obviously) delayed. The work is rigorous and I do feel that it will prepare me for my certification in Human Resources.

Degree: Information Technology
Graduation Year: 2015

This program offers distance learning, competitive placement within the field of study, great career services and a reputable program.
4.33 out of 5.0
Degree: Occupational Therapy
Graduation Year: 2015

I am choosing to attend Colorado State University because it is one of the top occupational therapy schools in the country. I feel that the expertise of the professors allows me to gain the best base of knowledge before entering the job market. I really don't have many complaints about the graduate program. The professors are incredibly insightful, the fieldwork opportunities are exceptional, the campus is beautiful, and the city of Fort Collins is an absolutely wonderful place to live. The only thing I can possibly mention as a negative is that the graduate program is so good, that it is extremely challenging to get in. As a 4.0 student out of undergrad, involved in college athletics and numerous other extracurriculars, I was wait-listed to CSU and did not get into the program until last minute. I am glad I did get in though. The extra wait was well worth being a part of such an elite program.

Degree: Economics
Graduation Year: 2009

The economics program at CSU prepares students for academia or a government job, not necessarily a professional career, and their faculty, for the most part, lack real world experience.

Degree: MBA
Graduation Year: 2015

Working over 60 per week and then having to work on my courses does not really give me much time for myself. One thing I love about this program is that whenever I am in need of help I know I can get a hold of someone to help me quick, professor, IT, financial aid, etc.. The friendly and professional instructors come from all areas of business which in turn gives us as students a great way to figure out which part of business we want to get involved with. One of the downsides is that this program is ranked 43 for the online MBA program. Since this program was founded in 1994, they still have some fine tuning to do but I know they will start climbing the ranks very soon.

Degree: Veterinary Science
Graduation Year: 2016

Pros: Great vet program Cons: High workload
4.0 out of 5.0
Degree: Liberal Studies
Graduation Year: 2015

The professors are very knowledgeable and up to date, the use of technology is excellent and the people are friendly. Also, the area is fantastic! The only downside is that it was slow going for me to get in, but that really means that they are picky and only want the best students possible.

Degree: Liberal Studies
Graduation Year: 2016

CSU features one of the top graduate programs in the country, with passionate faculty who are always available to discuss research with the students. The location just miles from the Rocky Mountains is a huge added bonus!

Degree: Education
Graduation Year: 2015

The schools holds very high standards for its students to ensure the quality of the degree you earn. For example, I am pursuing licensure concurrently in order to meet the requirements of graduating with a Masters of Music Ed.
