Columbia university provides an overall satisfactory education along with what we can expect from high level education institution (which are mentioned as criteria). However, you did not mention the tuition fees level, which is substantial in the case of Columbia University and therefore constitutes a major flaw for this institution.

Columbia University is a great university, but the student social life is not as good as that of other universities. And for student majoring in engineering, the facilities are not accessible enough. And the most important thing is that there are not enough support facilities for students' daily meal and hot water supply.

CU is great institution which has collaborative environment, dedicated faculty and rich alumni resources. The only thing students should be aware is to always show their initiative to participate and learn.

Columbia is a competitive environment that challenges students to learn for themselves. In addition it is in one of the most intense cities in the world, which is further encouragement to excel.
