Degree: Educational Leadership

I joined the program and I was eager to learn to become an administrator. I found myself lost. Starting with no orientation about the use of the portal and I missed on assignment on the first week because I didn't know they existed. Then I found out that there is barely any teaching happening. The assignments that are given on the first two week of the course are just crazy. They ask you to work on assignments as if you have been working as an administrator already for years while you are on the first two weeks of program. Professors so far gave no feedback about the assignments, they are just happy to cut points because of spacing and APA format with no attention or feedback about the work you did. So, I am not sure if they are not teaching during the very very few classes that are mostly wasted on unnecessary information that they share that had nothing to do with preparing us for the educatinal roles, no feedback on assignmnets, then why am I taking this course and paying all that money? to study by myself? i could have done that without paying all this money. I would never every recommend this program for anyone. If I can drop out right now without losing the money I paid, I would that in a heart beat. Be aware people. research and ask before you enroll.

As a single mother going back to school to attain a graduate degree, Concordia University made it easy for me with the flexible hours and the off-campus locations they offer. I am employed full-time so the evening hours were perfect for my schedule as well as the location site of my cohort. The instructors have all been very supportive and available to all of my educational needs. The staff at Concordia has also been helpful in quickly answering all of the complex questions I had. Concordia is the perfect fit for me!

Never having attended an online degree program, I had serious reservation about receiving a graduate level education without a physical classroom and campus. From day, one I have been impressed with the level of communication from the admissions counselors, directors, and the professors. All of the course work and syllabi criteria are thorough and clear. The discussion topics are helpful and the students take them seriously offering quality feedback to papers written or ideas proposed. I would recommend this program to anyone looking for a career in Athletics Administration and Coaching.

My degree program includes excellent instruction and a great personal experience for it being majority online. I can interact with my classmates and professors with ease and feel I have access to their support when needed. If an on campus program isn't an option for you, I highly recommend their online programs.

When I thought about going back to school I thought I needed and wanted to sit in class to get the full absorption of curriculum and support from the instructor, but I quickly found out my life didn't support attending classes and that Concordia Univ. had a degree program that was perfect for me. I returned back to school as a full-time kindergarten teacher and single mother of a 2 year old and 6 month old; needless to say I needed a degree program I could achieve my goals from home. Concordia has provided the rigor and opportunities for learning and networking I will need to be successful. They have very supportive instructors and staff. Overall, I feel that it was the perfect fit for me and best of all it is a Christian faith university, so I even got to learn how to lead with Christian values in mind & heart!

The professors that I have had thus far, have been very helpful in my pursuing this degree. The have been helpful in making sure that I understand the assignments (especially since I am an online student), and they always get back to me in a timely manner. The interaction with the other students is somewhat limited, because of the online nature of the class. It is an excellent program, you will definitely grow in your professional and personal lives.

This is a good program that provides hands on and international experience. I am in China studying and working with my colleges and classmates. It is great experience.

The Masters of coaching and athletic administration degree option allows individuals to pursue a higher degree while still working. You have the option to take courses solely online or hybrid and the thesis has a related course every semester to help you not get behind.

Pros: The MBA program is flexible enough that I can balance family life, working full-time and going to school. The class size is small which enables everyone in the class to participate. The faculty brings their experience in their respected fields into the classroom. I can tailor my degree to my specific focus, in my case entrepreneurship. The courses are fast paced but well worth the time. Cons: None

I appreciate having the ability to continue working and care for my family while pursuing my dreams. The faculty are absolutely great. They understand that there is a life outside of the program that doesn't always go smoothly. I really can't speak on behalf of the campus because I have yet to visit it. I do hope to have the time and money to take at least one course on campus. The only con I see is career support. While all the courses are practical and relevant, there is no support to actually find a job.
