"Overall a great program to me.And it is worthy to spend 2 years in your life to study in an Ivy league in such a great place as Ithaca."

"Friendly environment! Excellent student stipends make sure you're not living off of Ramen noodles. Support for students with families is lacking, though, but this doesn't affect most grad students."

"Cornell is what you make of it - students who work hard go on to do very well, students who don't , not so much."

"Pros: Cornell has many great faculty members and resources for research in the field of Biomedical Engineering. The campus is very beautiful and there are things to do for the outdoorsy type. Cons: The administration is terrible and trying to get paperwork done is a laborious process. The campus is in the middle of no where and the town is full of hippies. The campus is also very big and parking is a nightmare. The nightlife is repetitive, and most of the people are either weird or spoiled brats. Overall Assessment: It is a very competitive school that teaches you a superior work ethic that follows you though life."

"Good class size, rigorous curriculum, and individual attention. However, program is relatively young and still favors undergraduates in some respects. For example, some required courses are taken with first-year undergraduates, which drastically lowers quality of classroom discussion."

"My graduate program is demanding but the challenges show how much I am learning. I have learned so much just in the three weeks that I have started the program. One con is that the workload never stops; it's difficult to take extensive breaks. However, I can tell it is a program that will prepare me for the professional field."

"Cornell has a very good MEng program in electrical engineering, in what it lets you design your very own agenda, which is convenient for your future career plans. I am learning a lot and enjoying all my classes. The existing facilities and multiple sports clubs make it easier to meet other people and make friends."

"The Cornell veterinary medical program is the top in the world for a reason. The education provided is excellent, and Ithaca is actually a pretty fun town to spend 4 years. Granted there isn't a lot to do in the surrounding area, but you will be spending all your time studying anyways. The veterinary community is very friendly and helpful at the school, not overtly competitive (unlike the undergrad climate)."

"My graduate program has a great networking base, and the administration is adamant to help students achieve academic and career goals. This is a very prestigious program that I am excited to be a part of, but with prestige comes expense. Unfortunately it will be costly in the long run to obtain my masters degree from this institution."

"The full-time MBA program at Cornell University is a very respected one. It provides a rigorous curriculum and access to a huge network from the university. Students are driven and push themselves harder everytime while also helping each other. The Office of Diversity & Inclusion (ODI) is very engaged with very respected and structured programs, such as The Consortium, NSHMBA, and NBMBAA among others to support and promote diversity in the school as well as in the workplace."

  • Degree: Electrical Engineering
"The Electrical Engineering program at Cornell University is well-supported and well-recognized for the quality experience and education it provides to its students. The students themselves are engaged and find their way to their passion within Electrical Engineering to complete their PhD. The social life of students is quite alive, though Ithaca is a small town - especially during the winter when it's cold! The faculty are also generally accessible and approachable, though they can be quite busy and hard to get a hold of at certain times of the year! Graduate school here is quite difficult, but if a graduate degree is something you want and something you're willing to work hard for, this is a rewarding place to work for it."
