"Creighton was a great experience for undergrad and Omaha proved to be a really fun city. The school has a community that is really hard to articulate but was amazing. I graduated five years ago now, but just recently was back in Omaha visiting with a bunch of my best friends from college. I keep in contact with a number of professors as well. Creighton is an up and coming school and I think the degree will only increase in value as time goes on."

"Creighton University was a great school for an education. In your freshman year the core classes can be large, but as you move into major specific courses the class size decreases. Smaller class sizes give students a chance to interact one on one with the instructor, which can be very helpful. Most teachers are very willing to be a mentor."

"I really enjoyed my four years at Creighton University. I received a great education, met my best friends, and experienced what the Midwest has to offer."

"Creighton has a small school feel. It is easy to know a large number of the students on campus and you will likely see them frequently. The professors are extremely helpful, for the most part and want to see you succeed. Undergraduate research is a big focus."

"Pros - quarterly scheduling allows you to attend school full time and complete the program in two years. Cons - the Creative Writing program is relatively new, and the teachers are working on improving/building the program, which can lead to confusion at times. But it's also good that they are doing that."

"Great trial team experiences. Personable professors who are generally available to meet with students."

"The degree program in international relations is top notch, with great professors who are really invested in facilitating learning. However, there is very limited financial aid, as with most graduate degree programs, and very little opportunity to gain teaching experience as Creighton does not use teaching assistants extensively. Those attending the degree program are all very smart people, but there will be very few opportunities to make friends. The class sizes are small, there is a definite focus on theory and methods. There is very little support for finding jobs for graduate students, but your skills should sell themselves if you apply yourself properly."

"The occupational therapy program at Creighton university has many pros. The biggest pro is excellent culture and community of the Jesuit society. Creighton also offers a diverse student population and allows all students from many backgrounds to attend. The biggest con is the increased price of tuition and fees."

"The physical therapy program at Creighton University has provided me with a phenomenal education thus far. The only con of the program is that the tuition is steep. However, I strongly believe that the pro's of the education I am receiving far outweigh the cons. The professors are passionate about the field of physical therapy and each is up to date on current issues and topics in the medical field. The faculty is readily available and eager to help students like myself succeed inside and outside of the classroom."

"As a career educator, I was somewhat reserved about participating in an online degree program; however, my experiences at Creighton were far and above more interactive and deeply personal than my three degrees earned in the traditional classroom from other private and public universities."

"Creighton University SOM is an excellent program that focuses on not only education but development of the individual as a person. I can honestly say I will become a better doctor having attended Creighton than another university."

"Creighton University was rated one of the nation's most "plugged in" campuses. Omaha is an affordable place to live and there's a lot of events, restaurants, and activities around the city. The area of the university is not considered the safest, but public safety does a good job keeping the campus secure"

"There are definitely ample resources for students to use for success in the classroom. The academic support staff cares about the students and will do as much as they can to help. The structure of some of the courses could use revamping, which I know some are in the process of doing."

"PROS: Creighton University School of Pharmacy and Health Professions offers not a Masters but a Clinical Doctorate in the field of Occupational Therapy (as well as a Post-Professional Doctorate program). Since the vision now (as stated by the American Occupational Therapy Association) is that all OTs will have their doctorate by 2025, this is especially helpful for future OTs currently seeking higher education. Furthermore, the professors are not only passionate and concerned with each student, most are still practicing therapists and therefore can offer current information or advice to their students. As for lectures, the material is difficult but adequate for a graduate student; students are graded and tested accordingly as the school has high hopes for each professional student. Students are also given their own laptops in which exams and notes are to be taken on, which is extremely helpful in terms of simplicity and organization. CONS: Creighton University is a private school and therefore, tuition can get quite pricey. Although this is not the fault of the school, there is also limited diversity within my program as well."

"Pro- Creighton established the nation's first Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree and is recognized as one of the top medical universities in the world. They employ high quality professors, many of whom are recognized as FAOTA (Fellow of the American Occupational Therapy Association). Con- As a Jesuit institution, Creighton's tuition is expensive compared to other OT programs."

  • Degree: Law
"I love the small community feel of the law school. The professors are expected to be on campus 8 hours a day and when they're not in class they're in their offices. The school has an "open door policy." The professors keep their doors open whenever they're free and students are encouraged to just walk on in and talk with them. Out of all the schools I visited, this was the one that seemed most committed to excellence in academics. The administration is friendly and efficient, the professors are brilliant, the career development efforts are superb (especially if you want to practice in the midwest), and the campus is beautiful. If you're not religious, don't worry about the Jesuit thing; it really doesn't impact your day-to-day experience (other than the fact that it's a wet campus). My one area of disappointment so far is that the professors don't seem to be as demanding in upper-level courses, but many students would consider that a pro."

"Great individual attention, the classes are what you make of them. No public transport, minimal diversity (but representative of the region), relative to the city a good location. The career development office is most helpful for students who plan to stay in the midwest. Professors could push students for a higher standard of excellence. Expensive if you don't get a scholarship."

  • Degree: Pharmacy
"I am in the distance program for pharmacy. It is extremely flexible and the faculty and staff are extremely helpful and willing to work with you. Of course it is graduate school, so it is a huge commitment and as a private school it is on the expensive side. Of course, they are setting you up for a foundation to pay back those loans quickly, so I cannot complain."
