Degree: Economics
Graduation Year: 2013

Each university has their own unique strengths and weaknesses. The strengths of my university was learning how to write effective term papers with under strict deadlines and due dates. My college experience taught me how to be a better writer, thinker, and researcher. There were some collaborative projects that stressed the importance of team work and group interaction. The weaknesses of my experience was there was not enough technical content. In other words, I wanted to learn more about computer programming, computer network configuration, etc. I wanted a stronger base in technical learning. Overall I gained some valuable life skills but there were some deficiencies as well.

Courses offered for accounting program are abundant and very thorough in their teachings. Professors are very professional and available when needed. Advisers, academic and financial, are professional and available when needed or are quick to return calls. Overall a great school for accounting degrees.

I love it is accredited and has a great caliber of teachers. I wish the scholarships were not broken down and can use for whole semesters. I would like them to work in work study/internships even if it is an accredited online school. They are responsive as well.

Degree: Technology Management
Graduation Year: 2007

The reason I chose DeVry was their outstanding job placement stats, 88% of people who go through their program obtain a job in their field 6 months after graduation. In life I believe hard work and perseverance are the keys to successful goal accomplishment. However, in this case I feel I got duped by a university that over promised and under delivered. I did my part and graduated with 3.53 GPA however, all I received in return is $35,000 dollars in student load debt and nothing to show for it except for a diploma in a nice case.

Flexible to have the ability to go to a formal class or online class if needed to complete the program. Real world applications from Professors in their respective fields. Great networking with the Professors for job opportunities.

Overall the program and school are great. There are some things above that do not really apply to my situation due to the fact that I take online courses. The only negative thing that I can think of is the fact that they can provide contradicting information to the students that my cost them more money.

DeVry, Keller School of Management has a "real world" feel in the classes I have taken. As a career switcher, I have worked in the corporate arena for 20 years and the classes at DeVry give you a peek into career reality. There are no "con's", just hard work!
