The advising staff is excellent! I received assistance every step of the way. I'm a military spouse, so distance learning is important for me, and they set my mind at ease. Even if my husband gets stationed other places during the course of my education, I know they are here to help. My excitement and passion for the Master's degree I'm seeking continues to be ignited at ECU! I highly recommend ECU for your graduate degree!

I am currently in my first year of my Master's pursuit. So far, the curriculum focuses on the four field approach to obtain a wider understanding of Anthropology before committing to a specialty. The program is rigorous but the faculty and advisers are fair and knowledgeable.

The Industrial/Organizational Psychology Master's Program at East Carolina University is top notch. The professors care deeply for the material they present and for the success of the their students. The variety of classes built into the program is unique. East Carolina's program is designed to help students reach their full potential by requiring a thesis, internship, and comprehensive exams. There is not even a remotely high level of competition between students, which I consider to be a huge "pro" of the program. However, the same cannot be said of the faculty. There seems to be some contention between some of them. The biggest "cons" of the program would be the unprofessional conduct of faculty and lack of clarity in communication.

There is an emphasis on fitting in to the framework already in place, with limited exploration of theory and style. However there is plenty of work directly correlated to working in the field, which prepares you for future job opportunities.

The ECU graduate school is an excellent source of knowledge and experience in the networking and information security industry. So far I have had a rewarding experience from both the faculty and my fellow students. The professors have real world IT experience, and the students are eager to excel in their current or future roles as IT professionals. I would highly recommend the ECU graduate school. - Richard Helmer MSNT Program

Degree: Business
Graduation Year: 2017

All of the classes that I have taken have been online so there have not been any real cons that I can relate directly to the school. All of the professors that I have had a class with, have been very attentive and helpful anytime that I need some assistance. The classes have been very challenging and I feel that the work that I have put in has paid off and will certainly help me to expand my career after graduation.

I am currently attending ECU for Masters in Business Admin degree. I came here for my undergraduate degree and would choose no other place to learn. ECU is very diverse and wonderful. Each professor and class I have taken have been outstanding, each semester I look forward to jumping into more, and learning more because of my professors. I highly recommend this school to anyone. ECU has so much potential for each and every student. I have no cons for my school because there are so many positive things to be seen first.

Degree: Physician Assistant
Graduation Year: 2017

Faculty and staff are great. Program is great. Students from the previous year are so helpful. Financial aid office has not been very helpful as my program is 27 consecutive months and they have not been able to understand some of my questions.

Degree: Reading & Literacy Education
Graduation Year: 2016

I feel that the graduate program has been very beneficial in furthering my abilities to teach. There are many benefits, including low tuition, availability of professors and advisers, and networking. I do not have any cons, except that financial aid is a bit lacking.
