Degree: Health Sciences
Graduation Year: 2016

Pros - Being a completely online program means that the work load is a lot BUT I love it so much because I am learning at every moment and using what I have learned directly at work. That alone, makes me appreciate what I am doing as a graduate student, and makes me appreciate ECU for making it affordable. Cons - Being a mother of young children ranging from ages 10 to 4 and working part-time, homeschooling, writing on the side and getting published, and being actively involved in my local community, makes my graduate program overwhelming.

The pros of the program is that it is very flexible. You can take it online with great professors and there are some classes on campus to if you are close. The cons is that it is not as challenging in some aspects. I would like more management training and experience. I need more experience before I go into a corporate world.

I really love this program!! The staff and faculty are so open to help their students learn and provide opportunities for them to succeed following the completing of the program. They treat all of their students with the same kindness and respect they deserve. They are always willing to share they're school and research experiences with students to encourage them to want to be innovative and create knowledge that they can one day convey to others. BEST GRADUATE PROGRAM EVER!!!

Degree: Nursing
Graduation Year: 2014

East Carolina University is a well respected leader in Nursing education. Being selected to attend their graduate programs for nursing is a great honor. The staff are extremely supportive and while the majority of the instruction is on line, they include mandatory campus dates for clinical workshops which is a great opportunity to meet the staff and your classmates. The cost of tuition is very reasonable as compared to other MSN programs but the education you get for your money is exceptional.

Degree: Nursing
Graduation Year: 2017

The program is offered completely online which is a tremendous benefit. My advisor contacted me immediately upon submission of application and served as a guide available for questions. She followed up by phone as well as email.

Degree: Business
Graduation Year: 2014

Pros: Allows for a full-time working professional to acquire a Master's degree while at the same time raising a family. Cons: Online program requires an individual to basically teach the courses to him/herself. Very time consuming.

Degree: Physician Assistant
Graduation Year: 2015

I believe that the advantages of ECU’s Physician Assistant Program far outweigh the disadvantages. ECU offers a very competitive, high-quality training program in which students are well-prepared to enter the medical field. Scores on the certification exam are among the highest in the nation and a diversity of didactic and clinical opportunities prepare students well for diagnosing and treating patients.

Degree: Public Health
Graduation Year: 2015

The Public Health Program at ECU is a great way to further ones knowledge about the field of public health. The school is connected with the Brody School of medicine and is highly known and well recommended.

ECU has a decent A-GNP/FNP program. Some lack of support from advisors and keeping you up to date on requirements for admissions, clinicals, etc.
