Eastern Kentucky University has a place and a program for everyone. They consistantly provide assistance in all areas of college life and preparation for after college careers. There is an element of "party school" if you choose to engage in social gatherings, but the focus is always on maintaining a high expectation for educational growth and achhievement.

All the professors I have taken classes with so far are involved in research and other projects outside the classroom. This is a pro because they exemplify excellence and passion in their field. They work hard to teach and act on their knowledge by expecting no less than the best from their students. This is a con only in that the professors may not always be accessible. They are taken from their teaching for events and meetings that can interfere with the class flow.

This program creates a very interactive environment! The staff is very willing and helpful. You can tell that they enjoy teaching. There is a lot of community involvement and hands on experience. The staff makes sure to connect everything learned in the classroom to real life scenarios!

The Masters in Physical Education Program at Eastern Kentucky University has truly challenged me and helped me find my true passion within the industry. With the help from my mentors in the program I know I will be successful. The small student body allows for personalized attention and room to thrive.

Pro: Graduate classes are more in depth, but are more straightforward with material. Professors are nothing BUT helpful! Cons: There is no financial aid to support grad school!

The city surrounding EKU is very small and easy to navigate but there is also very few things to do. Be prepared to drive to Lexington for anything outside of bowling and the occasional night out at a restaurant.

The pros of the program is that it allows me to attain a quality education online while still being able to work and support my two disabled family members. The cons of the program is students must travel to and from campus daily for two weeks for two of their final courses.

Some of the questions pertain to on campus or living in surrounding area and I am only taking online classes. There should be a N/A box available on the questions.

EKU is a small campus that is easy to navigate. Teachers are easy to contact and are always willing to set up meetings if you have issues with class. My classes are very hands-on, not everything is straight book learning.
