Edinboro is a great University in a small town. They have a very high admission rate so go ahead and apply! The faculty at Edinboro is excellent, they are rated extremely high by U.S News. The courses are not very rigorous and the college is very affordable. They offer Masters programs that are entirely online with no live component so you can complete you coursework on your schedule. I am very happy with the value I have received from Edinboro.

I am currently enrolled in Edinboro University's online Advanced Standing Master's of social work program and I absolutely love it! I would definitely recommend the program to anyone pursuing their MSW. What I love most about the program is its flexibility. What I disliked the most about my undergrad studies was commuting, and with this program I can work on my assignments from the comfort of my own home on my own schedule. There is, however, some hands-on experience at the internship of your choice. I was able to chose any agency in my hometown, provided that I was supervised by someone with an MSW. That is another great component of the program. The curriculum teaches a generalist approach to social work such as mental health, family social work, administration, etc. That way, students learn a variety of different aspects of the practice all while specializing in their specific area of choice at their internship.

College is a great time to learn and explore. Not only are you expanding your education but you learn so much about yourself in the process.

I thought that it was a very good price for the degree that I was obtaining. I thought that most of its instructors were very good at their jobs. It is an easier school to get into for acceptance when your grades and paperwork may not match what you can actually do in the field instead.

I had a great experience with the personal attention the Dean of the Graduate School and program director gave me. I transferred from another competitive state University and Edinboro really worked with me personally to make this happen. This was my second masters so I definitely have some experience with dealing with large institutions, Edinboro hands down was #1. I found the tuition to be affordable, the staff to be personal and empathetic, and the instruction/curriculum challenging enough. If that's what your looking for Edinboro is a great choice. I realize this experience was personal to me and can't vouch for all but that was my experience.

The program I am taking is completely online. The availability of staff is excellent and the work load is reasonable considering this is a graduate program. The school is responsive to questions from the bursars office to the professors in a timely matter and always kind and professional. I would say the difficult part with any online program is just the lack of face to face communication and clarification of goals.
