Pros- this program is great if you plan on staying in the Aviation field, If you don't have any desire to stay than this program is not for you. I have been able to us this field in every part of my job now and has allowed me to clime the ladder in my organization. Cons- This is a field that is common and you have tones of competition. So if you don't start networking than you going to be wasting your time with this program. Reason is that aviation is look for my experience than education.

Aviation has always been my passion and ERAU is the university that provides a wide range of courses that involve the aviation industry. Being an air traffic controller in the U.S. Army is no easy job and the graduate program will help me expand my knowledge and skills while protecting and serving the nation.

The graduate program is a very "industry specific" (Aviation) program that is geared towards helping professionals pursue higher education in the Aviation field. The university name, within the industry, is second to none. They have a phenomenal networking structure within the aviation industry that is guaranteed to land anyone who completes the degree with employment. If you do the degree online, the price is very competitive; however, if you decide to attend for face-face classes, you'll pay a much higher price, especially for the bachelors degree. Your student body consists of primarily male students. Daytona Beach is primarily a retirement community with very few options for young adults. Social outings in Daytona usually result in going to the same few bars and clubs around town (its not the Daytona Beach of the 90's). However, the beach is second to none, and the weather is amazing; albeit a little warm in the summer. Orlando is an hour drive and offers a lot more to do on the social avenue. Course workload is manageable, however, the instructors do put the responsibility on you to learn. Just like any other institution, don't expect any hand holding.

Tough and Rigorous coursework that makes you feel challenged, but yet great faculty support to ensure you are able to meet your educational goals. In the Field of Aerospace/Aeronautical Science, there is only one name if you want a top notch education, with the credentials and networking to help you succeed with a valid career, and that is Embry-Riddle

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is the premier academic institution for education in aviation and aerospace disciplines. For a career in these industries there is no other institution as highly regarded in the field. The courses are demanding but fair and challenge the individual to excel on a personnel level. Career advancement or entry into the industry is also foremost in their support for student placement during the academic year.
