I hated high school, but I loved college. I grew to appreciate my ability to learn. I made new friends and had a great balance of social life and school life.

Degree: Economics
Graduation Year: 2018

Florida Atlantic University is a very solid school for students seeking professional careers. They do very well with placing graduate students into jobs and host an extremely diverse student body. Another feature that I enjoy is that FAU is constantly looking to improve and it's nice to be a part of an ambitious growing university. In the Economics program, the professors are extraordinarily friendly and are always willing to go out of their way to help motivated students. One gripe that I have is that the Economics program did not include a sufficient focus on mathematics and, at the time of writing this review, they do not offer a PhD in Economics. Overall, I've been satisfied with the quality of the institution.

Degree: Sociology
Graduation Year: 2015

The FAU Sociology masters program was worthwhile. This is not a program you can slide through. You have to put in the time to do the required coursework, readings and critical thinking. The professors are very knowledgeable in their subject areas and they are willing to push you to learn more and question more. The program will enlighten, while also inspiring you to make a difference. The professors will help you with writing papers and grants and they will encourage you to find your own research goals and to attend conferences. FAU offers partial to full reimbursement for attending conferences. The program is also growing and there are many assistance-ships that can help afford your masters education. The classes are small with a maximum of 15 people. For the best experience I would recommend applying to FAU's Sociology masters program if there is a professor whose concentration(s) fit your interests.

Degree: Social Work
Graduation Year: 2020

Florida Atlantic University is not only located in a beautiful area but it provides students with the tools necessary to succeed in the real world upon graduating. The professors are welcoming and understanding that students have occasional struggles and are willing to work with you, which makes them approachable. Th course load for the MSW program is interesting and thought provoking, and for a student who didn't get their BSW in Social Work I feel I will be well prepared to enter the field upon graduation.

Degree: MBA
Graduation Year: 2019

I am a graduate student at Florida Atlantic University. I am in the Sport MBA program, and couldn't have made a better choice! The staff has experiences and connections that are unmatched by any other program, and the ability to gain an education in not only sport but in business as well.

Degree: Cultural Studies
Graduation Year: 2012

What I realized was students needed to prepare more than the instructors so it not only helps students to come up with strong ideas to bring into the discussion but also encourage the teacher to play an active role in the classroom. Be focused on the subject you are concentrated on and try to be very eclectic in perspectives.

Degree: Biomedical Engineering
Graduation Year: 2018

I received my undergraduate degree at FAU. The University is very diverse and the campus is beautiful and located in a safe and peaceful area in Boca Raton, Florida. I've gained so many wonderful experiences in my few years there and look forward to all the new things i'll be learning in starting this masters in Biomedical engineering. This University has been my home for quite some time now , it's where I've fostered my most precious relationships and it's where I've grown socially and academically. I look forward to all the classes that i'll be taking such as tissue engineering and I can't wait to apply all aspects of this degree to my dream of becoming a Physician.
