"Florida Atlantic University is school on the rise. With a focus on top-notch education and roster complete with field experts, students will have the best opportunity of thriving and learning at FAU. A critical component of Education is the ability of the Professor leveraging their work experience and user knowledge to the students. While attend FAU each Professor sought to offer me their best. My Argumentation and Debate Professor went as far as helping me building a Senior portfolio of all my accomplishments and played a crucial role in landing me an internship at one of the biggest Communication firms in Georgia. ALso, it's because of her that I earned my first job only 3months post graduating. The assurance of knowing you support system goes outside of the campus is beyond relieving. With Education and career as its top priority, you're certain to excel with a degree from FAU."

"Hey, please take this review serious. FAU is a dirty school, from the libraries to the cafeteria. If you are not extremely self driven you will fail here. Around campus you will here many people complaining about the lack of help the university offers. please review the retention rate of employees and students from this university before making a discussion it may change your opinion."

"I enjoyed my years at FAU. I love that they offer day and night classes and that they have several campuses that you can attend in Broward and Palm Beach County. They also offer online courses which helped me a lot because I work full-time. FAU has many clubs, athletic events, and school spirit. They are always very professional and were very helpful anytime I needed assistance. The advisors were flexible and were willing to call and speak with me over the phone if I didn't have time to come and meet with them in person. They always made sure to communicate with students and make sure we were always informed with what was going on with our grades, deadlines, incidents, accounts, etc. I would recommend FAU to anyone who has a busy life but still wants to experience what attending a real University is like."

"This program was administered through the FAU college of business. It was a fantastic opportunity and a program I consider a hidden gem at the university. I wanted to do an IT related program and all any counselor would express that I should join is the engineering school at FAU and I did not want to do engineering however I began down that route. Two years into my engineering degree, I wanted a more IT focused degree and I met with the Career Center at FAU. They expressed this degree to me due to my interests and I switched my major to this program. Luckily I was able to graduate still in four years even switching my major halfway through. I learned a lot in this program that I wouldn't have learned in any other program. Some great business skills, great analytical analysis, programming in C, Java, SQL and more."

"FAU is a unique university in the middle of beautiful Boca Raton. The upside to that: lots of local businesses in the area for internships and FAU-partnered jobs, while the downside is the cost of living can be very expensive if you want to be less than 10 minutes from campus. As an institution, FAU is an up and comer, and that term holds very true. We have lots of money coming in for research, a growing athletics department, and the student government and organizations like it are very active on campus. The SGA and other similar bodies are consistently surveying students for ways for the university to be able to improve their experiences at the university (and the free pizza for the surveys doesn't hurt either!). In my time they had opened up a completely new floor of the library for study space, added a new section for graduate students, and changed the library hours to be 24/7 for those late night cram sessions."

"I truly enjoyed my time at Florida Atlantic University. It is a smaller university compared to other public institutions. Due to the smaller size, I was able to stay involved in different departments and communities within the school. This is also reflected in the class sizes. Most classes I was in, the professor knew me by name. Just like any school, some professors are better than others. You have to ask around and do your research to make sure you pick the best ones. I originally choose FAU for their strong business program. As an aspiring CPA, I needed a university that was going to prepare me well. I later changed my degree to Mathematics with guidance of some of the faculty and staff that invested their time in me. My favorite part about my time at FAU was all the opportunities they provided to give back to the community. I was able to go on trips during university holidays to volunteer in communities outside of my own. I was happy to attend a school that invest money in reach out to others. To conclude, The location is perfect. When you need to distress, the beach is around the corner and if you want to explore, Fort Lauderdale and Miami are filled with the arts."

"During my years here at FAU, Ive had the privilege to be part of multiple aspects of the culture surrounding this university from organizations to various positions on campus and I must say that this university has definitely forged me into the man I am today in both overt and esoteric manners. At the undergraduate level, my interests became more focused. Through various interactions with individuals from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds, I became very interested in the inner workings of how others think. As a gregarious individual, I found my major of Psychology to be very applicable to my daily interactions and relations with others, so the courses quickly captured my interest. Eventually, through conversations with various mentors and peers, I decided to pursue a Masters of Education in Higher Education with a concentration in Educational Leadership because of both my experiences working in Student Affairs and the extracurricular activities I am involved in. The simple idea of being able to have a transformative impact on someone's ability to pursue their passions alleviates any doubts or confounds in my decision to pursue this path. As stated by Bill Bradley, a former professional basketball player, and politician, Leadership is unlocking peoples potential to become better. This quote has reshaped my undergraduate life at Florida Atlantic University because the university has provided me with numerous resources to excel academically as well as challenge myself with leadership development."

"This university only care about money. They do not acre about the students unless they are part of some special program that brings money to the school. They are never satisfied with the money they take from you, they offer no help if they will not be help back or look good to others. If you are going to put your son or daughter here remember that money is all this university cares about and they do not care for the students."

"FAU school of social work is unparalleled to any other school. 99% of the professors are brilliant and offer valuable insight and lessons. Even better to know that they are all open and willing and encouraging of offering support in guidance throughout the education process. The trick to having a great social work experience is the internship so if I had to say anything in the realm of advice it would be to speak up for what you want and advocate for yourself when needed."

"I attended Florida Atlantic University in 2011 to 2015. Before I chose to attend this university I weighed the pros and cons. I will start by saying FAU is an amazing up and coming school. Each year the school is becoming more difficult to receive admittance. In 2011 FAU opened up a football stadium which made my college experience amazing. FAU has a great balance of social clubs and academics. There is a plethora of activities and campus events that make your experience a great one. For example, my freshman year I joined the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity, which I eventually became president of, making my four years unforgettable. The greek organizations are not as extreme as the larger schools, due to the lack of campus housing for these organizations. Therefore, hazing and degrading acts are not tolerated, allowing for the members within the organization to build friendships and network. The academics of FAU are excellent, majority of professors are interested in their topics and care for the students. If a student is lacking in academics, there is a specific building for tutoring, called the student learning center. They cover majority of classes, ranging from geography to calculus, and the best part is, its free! However, there are cons to every school. While FAU is an exceptional school, the on campus housing is extremely expensive and strict. I recommend to find an apartment off campus after your freshman year, as it will save you money. However, that is my only complaint in regards to FAU. Furthermore, to any incoming students, FAU is an exceptional school that is going to be an A+ school within the next ten years. I highly suggest considering it for your undergraduate degree."

"I highly recommend Florida Atlantic University to anyone who is wants to pursue a degree in biology. The counselors are very helpful and really care about the students success. The athletic programs are great here though and it's fun to go to all of the games, football, basketball, lacrosse, etc. With the science department, you'll get a TA that doesn't speak English well about 1/4th of the time but the professors all know what they are talking about and for the most part teach well (there's always a few bad ones no matter where you go). The TA's and professors try their best to help out the students, especially if you personally ask. I don't regret coming here because it's cheap for me (in-state, presidential scholarship) and I'm learning a lot academically. The social life was never a huge part to me because I still have made a few good friends and don't go to lots of parties anyways. I would recommend anyone considering FAU to give it a good chance and possibly visit as any kind of person could succeed and have a good time here."

"Florida Atlantic University is a great public university to attend. The faculty and staff is what won my heart, they honestly made the process of attending college a breeze. Always very attentive and informative. Most of my professors were amazing. I have gained a great amount of knowledge and appreciate it! The campuses are clean and easy to transport around. NO PROBLEM WITH PARKING IS A PLUS. I go to the Davie Campus which is definitely a commuters campus and it made me feel in place."

"Mainly a commuter school, seemed to be short on money since faculty constantly complain about it. Do not offer majority of classs claim to, likely not doing well financially. For me its a nightmare- lab is 45min Drive away due to lack of infrastructure, basically no student life and is a ghost town. Graduate student community is completely fake news. Not a place for smart people, your college experience will be mostly driving and solitude since most grad students are parents. Wish I never came here. Programs are not ranked well to say the very least. Can not recommend, find a different school is the best advice I can give. A few teachers really care though and make is less awful. Objectively, it is mainly a commuter and night school for nearby students working full time with little student life for undergrads and none for grad students, despite what their website says."

"As a graduate student, FAU was an absolute disappointment, especially when comparing it to my experiences at other universities. The admin, HR, transportation department and budget office are disorganized, rude, and non-operational. The stipend given to Master's students is below the poverty line in Boca Raton (and surrounding cities), they provided $12,900/year, with $3,000 taken away for student fees (something that was not mentioned before I moved there to attend). Additionally, my budget coordinator (possibly the rudest person I've ever met), regularly did not pay TA's on time, and when asked about getting paid (because of students needs to pay bills/rent etc), her answer was to stop e-mailing her, there were too many of us. WOW! So few classes are offered each semester, that you really only get to pick between this class or that class; and of the courses offered, about 80% of them are online or hybrid and out of date (one of my instructors was lecturing during the Bush administration which he refers to in the video). Only one of my classes (I took 40 credits) as an in person, traditional class. Not to mention the technology fails to work most of the time. This created an in ability to see/hear the instructor, which makes learning difficult. I had a class that had an issue EVERY SINGLE class for the entire semester and the tech team said they couldn't fix it. I brought it up to administration, and they said it's a way to make money from a broader geographic range. You are forced to pay a $100 "transportation fee" even if you don't own a car, additionally, in the transportation fee you are told "you are not guaranteed a place to park", which happens everyday at 9:30am. Get there any later, and there will be no spaces, but because you have a parking pass sticker, you're not allowed to park at metered spaces. The campus is largely concrete, and fails to take advantage of the beauty that Florida's climate can offer. Instead it's concrete, sod, and hip hop music being blasted through the common walkway or "the breezeway." Overall, I was disappointed, underpaid and don't recommend FAU to anyone. It's also disappointing that I brought all of my concerns up to those in charge, and they did not seem to care or what to change. I feel 100% that FAUs priority is as a business and not as a university. If you want a good education and want to be treated well (or at least okay) than I suggest you Find Another University (FAU)"

"I was a double major in Biology and English at FAU, and graduated within 4 years with both degrees. While undergraduate advisors are seemingly helpful, FAU offers a wide variety of student success services. Being a double-major, I spent considerable time at FAUs Writing Center and Math-Learning-Center. My teachers varied in their educational style, and all of my biology labs were fun and hands-on. Some of my labs took field trips to the Florida Keys, the Everglades, and the Indian River Lagoon. Being marine focused, I was lucky enough to attend FAUs Semester-by-the-Sea (marine-science based course load). All of FAUs campuses are beautiful, and the locations are amazing. I would recommend this school to students who are self-motivated and independent."

"I absolutely loved my undergraduate degree in sociology at Florida Atlantic University. The setting and environment in Boca Raton is beautiful. The Atlantic Ocean can be seen from the top of the Owls stadium. Additionally, I love the subject of sociology and the professors who instilled me with the necessary knowledge and skills of being a researcher, writer, student, academic, and professional. The professors and instructors are all helpful and cheerfulthey encourage you to do your best and want to see you succeed. My favorite courses to take were sociological theory and cultural sociology. You learn so many interesting facts that you never thought of otherwise. I would wholeheartedly do my bachelors degree here again if I had to. In fact, I stayed at FAU for my current masters program in sociology because I have a passion for the campus and discipline."

"This school has decent teachers but has the worst student services Department imaginable. The wait to see advisors can be weeks and the hold times for each department can be hours. No one reallly cares about what you have to say and will immediately attempt to transfer you to another department. There is limited parking and some days its impossible to get a spot in order to get to class. This may even happen during finals time! This school is only interested in its abysmal football program and money. I would never recommend it to anyone and I am ashamed I attended it at all."
