Degree: Hospitality Management

FIU is an up and coming school. Every year it gets higher rankings in the US News: #6 in the nation in International Business, #10 in the nation in the International Affairs graduate program. It consistently ranks #1 in the state in terms of Bar passage rates, beating older Law schools like UF, UM, FSU every year. FIU's United Nations model is ranked #2 in the US, for those interested in International affairs. Regarding my major, Hospitality Management, we have one of the best programs in the World;... This school is amazing. I am extremely grateful I came here for my undergraduate degree and will be continuing into a graduate degree this coming semester. Great professors, great faculty, great resources. FIU strives to help its students be Worlds Ahead in everything they do. I am a proud FIU Panther.

Degree: Political Science

I graduated from Florida International University with a bachelors degree in International Relations. The university has a beautiful campus with a variety of places to study or eat. Also, the students and faculty are very respectful and helpful towards others. I would recommend FIU to those students who are interested in learning about different cultures due to the diversity of students. FIU has a great atmosphere and a lot of student organizations to get involved.

Degree: Business Administration

I'm technically in the CMBA program, which is designed for those who have jobs, families, etc. and need a flexible class schedule ( I go online) and also that caters to their experiences. I found the program has some fundamental issues with the way it's ran. There is a wide variance in teachers and the abilities to instruct over an online medium, and some really fail miserably. I feel most of the instructors are very good people, and will help you when you get stuck, which is great because the courses... Read More

Degree: MBA in Management

The program for the MBA is great. However, the service is awful. Lack of customer service and they have employees that do not know what are the steps that you need to take. One person will say something and when you call back for more explanation, another person will provide you with a completely different instruction. They make life difficult, you cannot ask any questions they really don't care about their students. It is like if you were bothering. They lack professionalism.

Degree: Computer Networking

I obtained my masters degree from FIU in 2017 and all I can say is that the school is amazing and helped me advance professionally. All of my professors were PhD's with years of experience in the field. I have absolutely no complaints regarding my program.

Degree: Accounting

While the school has great technical resources and student groups to help you develop your professional career, the staff isn't very helpful to their students. On several occasions I have called enrollment services and have been left on hold for hours. After finally being connected, if the first person answering the phone can't help you, they won't be giving you the contact information of someone who can. I feel very wronged for having spent thousands of dollars here and realizing that no one is... Read More

Degree: Liberal Studies

The Linguistics faculty is rather politically charged and not afraid to hide, it, which makes it difficult for students to freely learn or express their opinions about faculty members. The faculty are well-established in their field, though, and very knowledgeable about what they teach.

Degree: Performing Arts

FIU is an up and coming school that has so many aspects that will attract many prospective students. From its rich historical and cultural diversity to community involvement, this school has something for everyone. The curriculum is comprehensive and is cultivated by faculty who are highly qualified in the area of their studies. They are mentors and consistently breaking through the barriers of the educational glass ceiling.

Degree: Accounting

The graduate accounting program is unlike any other in the South Florida region. The Professors are truly amazing and the cohort structure seems to work well for working professionals while trying to satisfy the CPA requirements in Florida. If I had to do it all again I would without any hesitation.

The Florida International University Linguistics Master's program is definitely beneficial for students hoping to pursue a field in Linguistics. I began taking classes as an undergrad through the Accelerated Degree program, which definitely helps cut costs of tuition by serving as a dual-enrollment program. The faculty is knowledgeable, well-established in the field, and willing to help students.

Degree: English

Great scholars and professors here in the program, but lack of resources and financial opportunities destroys any chance at feeling a part of the college experience. This is a program that almost punishes you for pickingmit, and the school itself is all lip service when it comes to helping out students.

Degree: International Business

Since high school I had wanted to attend FIU because it was close to where I lived and I knew some of the students. I never heard anything negative so I was more inclined to attend. Once I was enrolled, I had overall a very good experience. I can only remember 2 terrible professors, 2 difficult ones, and the rest were very good or great. My favorite was my microeconomics professor, and one of the worst was my macroeconomics professor, so the person teaching the subject makes a big difference. The... Read More

If you are planning on applying to a Doctorate program of Physical Therapy then Florida International University could not be a better suit. Not only are the classes personal but what is inside the classrooms is what really matters. This program is not just all about the books, there is always movement and interaction in every hour spent there. You will learn hands on and get a taste of practicing in the real environment. The teachers prepare you for all cases you may face and they also let you have... Read More

FIU has an extensive amount of resources for their undergraduate students. When it comes to the graduates, their resources (dependent on the department) is limited. Parking/traffic is pretty tough if you don't leave or arrive at school at the right time.
